Flaming BM sword

How could i hex edit his sword to have flame on it... can i or does it need to be like ....--------Change the Red Infernal flames to the blue ones--------....?

Try creating a special effect attached to his weapon maybe? There may not be a good looking fire effect, but you could always give them a try. You may also try attaching it to his hand.

well i wanted to do it rhough Hex editor but if i did do it by triggers i would attach it to his weapon

I don't know anything about hex editting, but to me it sounds like a lot more trouble than it's worth just for a simple little graphic.

You'd probably have to edit the blademaster model to get a decent looking sword.

not my point, i just wanna know how to add the buring town emiter doodad modle to blademasters sword through hex editor

Look to the Modelling and skinning department, they have all the information you need to make his blade flaming.

What you need to do is convert the Blademaster's model to a plain text model, and then you can edit whats called "particle emitters" to put on the blade. (The conversion is either MDL to MDX or the other way around, i just know that one of them is plain text and the other is compiled)

That .mdx file is gonna be complex, lots of nested object definitions, lots of verticies, however, if you study it, and subsequently find a good flame effect then its possible for anyone to just copy the particle emitters for the flame onto the blademaster's sword.

(Thats all i know about the process being graphically inept as i am, seek the modellers)

Its a lot to learn and it certainly isnt hex editing, but its the most common way to do it.

If you consult with some of the modelers and skinners they might provide you with one if you credit them or offer an exchange of services.
