The World
The main continent is called Gaia. The Earth Elementals have taken residence at the heart of the land. To the south lies Asgard, a enormous floating island that sits above the clouds where the Air Elementals made their home. Near the southern tip of Asgard is Chaos, a sea-bound island covered in ash and volcanoes where the Fire Elementals founded their home. To the northwest is a land that used to be named the Netherworld, but since the discovery of the Dark Elementals, it is now called Endelphia. To the way west of Gaia, is the Water Kingdom that was formed by a special coral that is transparent above land, but visible in the sea. Finally, due north of Gaia, is the small, two peaked mountain island called Ophfer. Frozen in time, the Ice Elementals have lived there ever since recorded history.

Don't worry; I'll have a map for this, later.

Elementals at a Glance
Okay, so in this world, what is an Elemental? It's nothing like being a slave of a Human or anything of that sort... In this world, the Elementals live in a world that is only cared for and destroyed by themselves. There are animals, but there are no humans or any sort of intelligent life except Elementals themselves. They are sentient beings who belong to kingdoms that constantly wage war with one another, especially the four primary kingdoms.

Elementals aren't bound to the elements they belong to and aren't related to the elements. They ARE the elements.

There are currently seven main types of Elementals: Fire, Earth, Water, Air, Dark, Ice, and Sand.

Walkthrough to an Elemental's Life
There are three walks of life that an Elemental will come in contact to. The third is a maybe, it solely depends.

When an Elemental is born, they are called Elmenites. Elmenites are defenseless, having only entered the world as formless substances. They have no ability to structure their own body at birth, but these traits gradually disappear. Eventually, the Elmenites are able to structure themselves as they wish. However, self-defense comes when they become Elementals.

The second stage of life is when an Elmenite matures into an Elemental. This is characterized by the full ability to manipulate and utilize one's immediate body. However, this is also the longest, and for most, the last form of life they will go through. This is the time of their life when they must master the manipulation of themselves, and the world around them. To do it, they will train themselves, encounter enemies, but most of all; continue to learn. Many Elementals die, while others do not reach the requirements for the next stage.

The more rare stage of life is the third stage, when an Elemental is promoted to an Elementite. Most Elementites earn their title by becoming battle-hardened war veterans. This title is only given to warriors that their respective kingdom is proud to crown. It isn't given lightly, however. It is reserved for the kingdom's most powerful.

In more recent years, a new title has been given to peace keepers between the kingdoms. They are called Elementors. The ones who have this title are few and scattered. Elementals receive this title when their actions have been recognized by the four primary kingdoms. However, few do not agree on the sense of the title, as one is truly no longer affiliated with just one kingdom, but all of them.

The Entites

The Entites are the creators of the world, creating their respective element, and mostly likely the birth of the race of Elementals that exist today. They are extremely large bodies of matter with godly power at their disposal. However, because they are threatening to the world and to themselves, they are dormant until the world summons their awakening.

How big are they? Well...

The Fire Entite supports the entire island of Chaos. Without it, the island wouldn't exist.

The Earth Entite lies at the heart of Gaia. It is a giantic tree that the Earth Elementals also call the World Tree (no Yggdrasil). The roots of the tree can be see as down out to Chaos, and as far low as the bottom of the ocean.

The Wind Entite sleeps within a enormous cavity within the deep caves of Asgard.

The Water Entite is the ocean. While its body is the ocean, the center of the Entite is a closely guarded secret of the Water Elementals. That being said, because only Water Elementals can reach it.

The Dark Entite covers the entire island of Endelphia, and is the reason why the land is black and barren. At its center, the Entite is an eternal, black pit of abyss.

The Ice Entite is hidden underneath thousands of feet of permafrost below Ophfer. There is only one cave the leads to it. It only reveals itself as a small sphere of light, but is powerful no less.

The Sand Entite's location is somewhere in the Jyst Maze of Merretain Desert. The maze was made by the Sand Elementals to keep strangers away from it. Undisturbed by the Earth Entite, it is the only desert in the world.

The Fire Kingdom

The Fire Elementals live on the volcanic island called Chaos. It is located to the southwest of Gaia, and is about one sixth the size of the mother continent. When confronted with a dying island due to the invasion of the Water Elementals, King Pyre traveled into the deepest channels of Chaos, eventually reaching the heart of the island. It was there when he vowed to protect the well being of his homeland, and sacrificed himself to become the Fire Entite. King Pyre was the first Elemental to become an Entite.

During the War of Unity, it was discovered that King Pyre's becoming of the Fire Entite made him the weakest Entite of them all. At the time, the Dark Entite had grown upset, disturbing the balance between Gaia and Endelphia, which had made the rest of the Entites angry or sad. The Fire Entite was neither, but dying. To save his father's land, the king's son, Vigilance fused himself into the Fire Entite. This drastic energy transfer threw the island of Chaos into a maddening eruption, completely reviving the island, and renewing the power of the Fire Entite.

Before King Vigilance died, he left his will to Lord Kar, wanting him to become the next Fire King. Lord Kar could not do much. It was his King's dying wish.

The Fire Elementals live in three sub-groups: The Hazes, Torches, and Pyres.

Hazes are the main body of the Fire Kingdom's warriors, expected to fight for their King when summoned at anytime, in any given place. This does not include the nobles. Hazes are the most trained and versatile when it comes to battle. Roughly all Hazes are put into three categories: Magmus Hazes rely on complete offense to overpower their foes. Saturos Hazes are patient warriors, onset on defeating their opponents with careful, well timed attacks. Calyte Hazes are a mix of the Magmus and Saturos.

The Torches are the secondary/support army, only seeing battle when absolutely necessary. They receive proper training, but not to the extent of the Hazes. Though most Elementite Torches are part of the military, they lead more roles within the commons. Among them are two groups: The Sacred Torches are pacifistic warriors trained specifically by the former king, receiving the ability to heal. Most are drafted within the military when casualties are expected to be high. The Scarred Torches are more secretive and sometimes perform covert operations during warfare. Outside of war, the Scarred are guardians and uphold the King's law.

Lastly, the Pyres are of higher status than of the Torches or Hazes. Their abilities in battle are variable, but they are expected to be the pinnacle of virtues to all other Fire Elementals. Lords act as the King's leading officers of the Hazes. Magistrates are the overseers of the Torches. The leader of the Pyres is also the King of the Fire Kingdom. One cannot choose to be a Pyre; a Haze or Torch must earn the title.

Addressing the proper title of other Fire Elementals is expected and highly strict. On friendly terms, one can call another by just their birth name. On mutual terms, it is expected that the other must be called by their base sect name, such as Haze [Birth Name]. Groups within sects also apply to address. This rules does not apply when Fire Elementals are referring to others in their own sect and group. For example, a Magmus Haze does not need to refer to other Mamgus Hazes, but only needs to refer to Saturos without the Haze, because they are within the same sect, but not the same group. All Hazes and Torches are expected to address Pyres always. Any Haze or Torch must address Pyres as Pyre Lord or Pyre Magistrate, while other Lords and Magistrates may simply refer to Lord or Magistrate, respectively. The Fire King is the highest title, and must always be addressed.

---

The Water Kingdom

Water Elementals are more fluid with their social structure than of the Fire Elementals. Title addressing does not play a role in society; only to the Triton. The Triton is the ruler of the Water Elementals. The first King of the Water Elementals was Tyrfing, but he was quickly defeated during the Oppressive War and Vesperion replaced him as Queen. As Vesperion left her own tribe to help the Fire Elementals, the ocean blessed her with power, becoming the first Water Elementite. She would also be the first Triton of the Water Elementals.

During the War of Unity, since no one knew of the location of the Water Entite and Triton Myrtyndri did not want to look for the Entite, Seigen took the Apostle's Eye to guide him to the Entite. It was the only fragment of the Entite that the Water Elementals had ever laid eyes on. However, during the time that the Eye was taken, the Water Kingdom was invaded by the Dark Elementals. Without the Eye, the coral castle was completely powerless, and the kingdom quickly fell. Seigen was considered a traitor to his kingdom for taking their only defense against their enemies, and it wasn't until Seigen returned with more of the Entite in hand, when he found the grave news. Seigen was immediately arrested, and sentenced to death. The Eye chooses the next Triton by showing interest in a Water Elemental. However, during the execution, the Eye favored Seigen, not Myrtyndri.

After the end of the war, Triton Myrtyndri forfeited his crown, and offered it to Seigen. Seigen declined, telling his fellow kin that he had seen and felt too much of the world to be considered a loyal Triton to the Water Kingdom. Since Myrtyndri insisted, and so did the rest of the Kingdom, Seigen became the Triton for one day. His first and final act as Triton was to make a new home out of the Apostle's Eye, closer to the Water Entite. After that, Seigen became a nomad, and has not been seen since.

Seigen's actions for the War of Unity were praised throughout all of the kingdoms. He brought all of the kingdoms together, along with the Ice Elementals, and broke the quarrel between the Sea Bound and Land Bound Water Elemenetals. Instead of being called an Elementite, the kingdom's joined in giving him a new title, as the first Elementor in history.

Water Elementals live in two major sects: The Water Bound and the Land Bound. Within the Water Bound Elementals are the Neptunia, Plutos, and Baleas. These titles do not refer to their class structure, but rather their abilities.

The Neptunia usually have slim bodies to take full advantage of their swift movements. Their bodies are relatively elastic, allowing them to manage many opponents at any moment and excel is stalling battles. However, it isn't to say that they can't unleash pure force, but it must be done all at once. Neptunian Water Elementals have lost most of their ability to adapt, because it has gone into their agile bodies; They're body structure has little or no change.

The Plutos usually have more bulky bodies than the Neptunia with broadened features. They make up their poor dexterity with full management of their body weight and brute force. Their bodies allows them to create defenses not obtainable by their swift brethren, such as compression.

The Baleas usually have enigmatic bodies due to their sly and intellectual nature. They can constantly change their body size and shape to fit the needed situation. This ability makes their offensive and defensive strategies difficult to predict. The usually deal with projectiles and have little to do head on. However, some have been known to do extremely well in close combat. The Baleas are few, but they are considered dangerous foes.

The Land Bound Water Elementals are not Water Elementals in their purest essence. They live in many bodies of water such as swamps and toxic waste. Before the War of Unity, the Sea Bound and the Land Bound Water Elementals were bitter enemies, but Seigen calmed their anger. They do not call each other allies, but they no longer dislike one another.

---

The Earth Kingdom

Earth Elementals live within both the Inner and Outer Lands of their territory. There are two distinct characteristics that separate Outer Earth Elementals from the Inner Earth Elementals. During the Great Conflict, a desperate Oberon wished to acquire the World Tree's energy and it was granted. Oberon and his Earthern allies won and he became the first known Elementite of both the Earth Elementals and all Elementals in general.

Earth Elementals from the Inner Lands have bodies that can compose of metals. They can also have other deformities such as minerals deposits that their bodies grow constantly, like jewels. However, these are not used as placement of status. Instead they are used for war, because they can withstand high temperatures, are extremely durable, and do not wither.

The Outer Earth Elementals are split into two groups: The Treants and the Golems. The Treants, from the southern portion of the Outer Lands are a variation of Earth Elementals that mirror ordinary trees. Treants are usually pacifistic, due to their bodies' capabilities to house and give life. They praise the World Tree, sometimes calling it 'Grandmother'. Currently, the Treants are led by Maroon. The Golems, from the northern section of the Outer Lands, have bodies usually composed of clay, rock, and/or silt. They ability to camouflaging into their environment makes them dangerous as adversaries. They are able to reshape their bodies, like Water Elementals, although this ability is limited. The current Titan, or leader of the Golems is Grovyl.

Address calling does not exist to a great extent. The Treants are often referred to as sisters while the Golems are often considered brothers. The current ruler of the Earth Elementals is Emperor Brogandor.

Several miles off the western shore of Gaia, a lush green land sits quietly across the otherwise brown pastures. For some time, the river that fed the sea has flooded, causing erosion within the land, unveiling the dirty soils that had failed from barring the stream from its likely accident. It was sent to investigate whether or not an Elemental or two were trying to change the weathering landscape. It would be easy, considering that it could never be just a folly of an ignorant Elemental. It was highly suspicious.

The Elemental observed the landscape cautiously with its ghastly eyes. His ambusher had disappeared, camouflaged perfectly within the riverbed, after attempting to strike him with a geyser of swarming water. His pursuer imitated the flow of the wild fish, resting in order to push their weary bodies further upstream. Why had they not realized that one of their kin was no brother at all? The gusty Elemental found it high unlikely to disturb the pseudo-peace that had possessed the river. The predator wanted him to do it, to send the glittering substance below him into a flickering madness, only to trap him under his unintended plan. This is a loss, he thought; there was no point in lingering about, waiting to suffer. With the clench of its breath, the Air Elemental exhumed a gaseous cloud of water vapor mixed with dust, encasing the river and the earth around it in a thick mist.

As the fog thinned, he realize that his had retreated. “That is unlikely.” a voice echoed from the riverbed. “To see Figel run with eagerness?” Slowly, a small portion o the water rose, bringing with it the dorsal fins of a common fist. It quickly mutated, from a concrete body to a transparent substance, growing visible, amorphous arms. It’s torso only half created within the serene river, his mariner eyes become a quiet, shining blue. “What was he planning?” Seigen wondered, starting at the clouds in the sky. A patch had appeared, Seigen assumed that Figel had created it. “The Areids are acting with unusual behavior.”

“Is it obvious, is it not?” He would dare not consider a duel between an element of dominance.“ Jeunaine’s body began to appear from the river’s horizon. She resembled a sleek, black-coated eel spanning decades long. The slender black figure flowed smoothly against the river’s natural current, eventually continuing a constant circle around Seigen’s half submerged body. “Vesperion saw to that.” She finished with a slight, distasteful laughter. Seigen nodded, but was not convinced. “We must leave at once. If Figel returns with his brothers and sisters, the matter at hand will become troublesome. Come now, Seigen.” The eel immediately went downstream, speeding through every obstacle with a blinding pace. The Water Elemental grunted. It was considerably easy for Jeunaine, for she an adept from the Balean branch. Seigen wished to stay a moment more, but it would be foolish to leave any ally alone. Reluctantly, his watery body melted into the water, becoming an outlying fish that traveled back to sea.

Seigen could feel it. Jeunaine felt it. All of the Elementals felt it. The winds were changing direction, the ocean currents were unusual, the earth was disturbed, and the fires of Chaos Island trembled. An unfortunate event would shadow them all.

___

Figel did not stop for anything. His nomadic brethren he passed happily greet him, but he himself offered no friendship. He was disturbed, more so than any Elemental should be. For some of his friends, he had frightened. Surfing among the surfaces of clouds and producing streams of his own, he raced his way into a massive cloud. It was no ordinary mass, but a labyrinth. Every direction was identical; there was nothing to see but a landscape produced by the sky. Fortunately, any Elemental from Asgard could pass through the depth defying maze, for it was second nature to traverse in and out of the clouds.

Just a few moments had passed and Figel pushed his way out of the veil of clouds that protected and have been known to lift the floating island that he had forever known it to be: Asgard. For what could be called feed, his enigmatic behavior was easy to identify than the rest of the Elementals, who had found the place as enlivening. He landed stubbornly and strolled passed anyone who dared to greet him. Desperately he yelled, “Where is the Talisman of Dreams?!”.

“I am here,” Yuriendem whisked his way passed the gathering crowds. He stood, many lengths taller than Figel with a thin torso radiated by miniature speckles of light. His wispy arms tied themselves carefully around Figel’s solid stature. It was unlikely for such a distraction; it explained why so many were interested. “Calm down, Figel. You are creating a fuss. What is it?”

Figel did not say anything at first, but he quiet spoke, “My apologies. However, information concerning that certain matter has...” He stopped. The Elemental did not want to, but would not say it to the whole Areid existence. “I see,“ was all the Talisman of Dreams had to say. It seems the worst has come after all... Yuriendem thought to himself. “My good friends,” The Talisman preached to everyone, “I am aware of the presence of the unfamiliar patterns that have made their way into the wind currents of Gaia. The drifting of turbulence has become far worse than expected. Not only that, but I can see that Figel was ambushed by the Sea Bound Elementals. It seems the Water Elementals are becoming restless…” His calm voice became stern. “Disaster strikes soon. Everyone, please be prepared.”

___

“The earth is in pain,” Maroon testified. The broadened leaves of her branches began to break loose, decorating the Inner Lands’ pristine floor. “The beasts of the forest howl in despair, the birds wail, claiming that unfortunate things will happen. The mice, the squirrels, and the deer are hiding within the branches of my children. What is happening?” A number of the veteran Treants began to raises their voices about the ghastly news. Many of the Earth Elementals had begun asking the same question. It has arisen several times before, but the most severe had only been at dawn.

“Hmuph!” Grovyl complained. “Your little forest friends are too noisy. I haven’t been able to have a modest sleep for decades!” Much of the golems from the northern swamps competed with the wailing of the Treants.
“Enough! All of you!” The Emperor summoned for a silence with his booming voice. It scaled on the surface of the earth, reaching miles outward passed the lush forests and the mountains. It had been the loudest complaint of them all, the Emperor settled down when all of the rest had done so first. “Now then,” Brogandor announced, “All of the Inner Elementals have seen it with our own eyes. All of us have been aware of it.” He looked up, high into the branches of the World Tree. The Earth Elementals had cherished the gigantic leaves of the tree since the beginning of their segregation from the rest of the Elementals.

Brogandor continued. “The bright leaves of the forest have begun to change. No, it is not due to the changing of seasons as we have experienced for thousands of years. The swamps up north have begun to swell, have they not, Grovyl? Even the World Tree is disturbed, for its leaves that hold themselves up high are wilting… This has never happened before.” He voice grew depressed and desperate. “I want everyone looking for anything suspicious. Be they a disaster or Elemental alike, do not leave no piece of earth uninvestigated! We will fight this unpleasant occurrence, as we have all invaders.”

___

On the island of Chaos, Vigilance grew quite hardened. The white embers within his corona dimmed at the sight. He layed his burning hand into the magma, only to bring from it a stone-like egg. It was premature, there was no white coal as its heart, it was dead. “Why is this happening?” The Fire King asked. “Pyre would not allow this to happen. And yet…”

“Not only here,” Magistrate Aunas commented slowly, “Magma flows from throughout Chaos have become inhabitable for our young. Many of the Torches have already migrated to the central lava streams. The Sacred are performing with the best of their abilities to return health to the sick ones. Sea waters have begun rising, and are more treacherous then ever before. It is a disastrous sight. Not only that, but I’ve received reports that the sediment floor of the central magma core is shrinking gradually.” Aunas looked at the King who seemed lost within all of the problems that they seemed to have. “Your Majesty?”

“Aunas,” he proclaimed, looking at the Magistrate with a serious pair of glowing eyes. “Find Lord Kar. I must speak to him.”

OOC: I know that they got gradually shorter, but I didn't want to leave any of your characters out. In anycase, welcome to Forgotten Unity! I know that a number of characters popped out of nowhere, but you guys are able to do that, as well. Just don't create a lot for no particular reason. If they are a significant character, make a character sheet.

For the thousands of years I had lived within my secret home, nothing very great had happened. The outside world had moved by, wars, treaties and many things had happened jouring my life cycle. Hidden away in my Glacial lake in the high mountians no one paid head to this valley. It was my Valley and my Lake because for the thousands of years I had lived here I had always expanded it and helped them both grow. I had been there when the lake was but a pond with a small trickle and when this valley was but a small knock in the crest of the mountians.

Long ago when I was born the world was still young and this land was couvered all with Ice and snow. That may have had something to do with me being so special in my tribe. The ability to control snow, frost, ice and water all at the same time had been unheard of in the water elemental community. I was born to a group of nomadic water elementals that had been sealed in the valley because of the glacial pass that is now blocked to this day. They were in denile slowly dieing away, and in the last attempt to let their legacy live on they created me. With me their will of life and love did come back, their will to live was recindaled like a dieing flame. With this newfound life they taught me for many years how to control my power and when they deemed ready that we should use my powers over ice to melt the glacial pass to let us be free. So with that we finnally went on our journey.

But it seemed our happines was not destined to last. We were attacked by a group of fire elementals that burned us and slaugthered us. In a final attempt to save me they threw me into a river and into the forest it sped. Cut off from my only friends and my elders I was lost in this strange lands. I wandered for years and years till by chance I did come across a family of treants who were much kinder then their golem kin. They took me in and nursed me to health before setting me on my way in the direction of the Ocean blue. I wandered the forest caring for it for many years till I did come upon by the greatest chance of fate. A strange band of silver across the horizon, I raced towards it faster and faster, and then I new I had reached my destination. The Sea.

Slowly I walked into its sacred waters, the sound of gulls singing and the break of waves on the rocks soothed my soul. Yet as I entered I felt changed and I have been since that day, new life was born within me, greater power unlocked and the knowledge I had learned finnally made sence. I had been changed for the better I scanned my surroundings with stronger eyes and a strange blue glow did come out from a place. I reached down and felt a strange stone, lifting it into the light I saw it was a peral. A blue peral giving off a strange and calming light. As I marvelled at my findings I did not notice my Oceanic kin surround me and only by the means of my icy powers did I escape. Fleeing into the forest I vanished.

For years I wandered in search of the family of treants only to learn that they had died in a war burned to nothing. So I took up their mantle caring for the forest till I did arrive at my valley once more. As I entered it I saw if had changed so much, new things grew and animals now inhabited it. I couldn't kill them so I decided to change the valley to help them. I expanded it and planted trees and for the next five hundred years I lived in calm peace doing labor. On the day I deemed it finished I did finnally seal my valley away once more. Travelling to the bottem of the glacier within the lake and making myself a home I did finally set myself to rest.

I snapped back to reality, back from a world of memories and dreams I had entered so long ago. My eyes slowly adjusted to the pale blue light of my surroundings, the light was from the peral I knew. Yet still I scanned my surroundings to make sure everythign was there. The soft sound of water lappign agianst the shores of the lake filled my ears and yearning to be once more in the world above I clenched my peral and sped to the top. So beautiful my valley was in the perfect season of spring.

It was four days later when I heard the mysterious noise as the earth trembled. It had come from the other end of the valley where the glacier was. I glided to the other side fo the valley standing at the shores of the blank I could see the problem. The earth trembled once more and a massive explosion issued from the glacier. A great chunk broke off and fell into the lake creating a crack straight to the other side.

I glided across the lake to the other side, my feet barely touching the water. I stepped onto the land as I assumed my Icy form. Still clutching the peral I walked towards the crack in the glacial wall that had protected my valley for so long from the wars of the outside world. Mustering all of my will I stepped into the crack, slowly climbing up and into the world beyond.

It was dawn, shinning in all its glory. A thin band of light streching across the horizon must have made me not notice the ledge I had stepped off. Plummeting, falling into the abyss of the world bellow. A sea of green streching all across the world and a band of silver tiny as it may be just laying at the bottem. It seemed like hours to me as I fell towards that silver band finnally noticing it was a river I just changed my form into water. I raised my hands and let the clouds burst open making the downpour like a jungle tsunami. I flowed into thousands of tiny drops just to make it look much more natural then a being of water falling into the river bellow.

I fell into a pond created by a group of rocks that twisted the current in circular motions, it was the perfect place to land. I slowly drew myself up the tendrils protruding from my back rising up out of the water first, slowly followed by a my head and finnally the rest of myself. Standing at a height of one hundred and twenty seven feet tall I towered over the forest of trees. As I walked I fed the roots of the nearby trees with water that would keep them tall and strong, it one of those things I had become accustomed to do since my stay with the treants.

I walked for many days and nights changing my size to hide from people, yet I knew that the treants knew I was there. "Ohanar" I had been called when I had stayed with the treant clan so many years ago, to them it had ment friend and savior of the forest. I think that might have had something to do with me destroying out those fire elementals. I could feel the world was tense, that the lands were swelling, the trees spoke softly to me of news from the outer reaches of the world, the peace had been disturbed, the world was changing. I cast my hand over four pools of dew to summon up the most important things that were happening right now. An Image of the Fire king, the Earth emperour, a group of water elementals and a group of air elementals each appeared in a seperate pool. I looked deeper and heard the voices of what was happening, knowing my assumptions were backed by truth I wandered off deeper into the forest.

Hunter of Shadows
Kar was busy overseeing the defense of outer Chaos, as the general he had a duty to every once in a while inspect and make sure nothing was dysfunctional. More than a few Hazes watched nervously under the silent scrutiny of Lord Kar himself, Kar had for the most part seen nothing out of order, he did however need to have a few words with the officers for some changes.

Then, a messanger hurried up to him, panting heat waves outward the messanger panted "King...Vigilance...wishs...to-" Kar nodded "Yes, yes, yes get a rest." and then moved off as fast as he could leaving an astonished Haze behind with a look of befuddlement

It was in due time when Seigen discovered the outlet of the river that led to the ocean. Quickly, he swam out of the fresh water and into the brine, the saltiness of the water feel alleviating, even if he could not drink it, himself. Finding the Water Kingdom would be reletively simple from here on out: Travel thousands of miles west-ward. The distance only seemed agonizing, but any Water Elemental should be able to make the trip within a few hours, maybe not even an hour.

Jeunaine was considerably agile. She dolefully waited for Seigen to appear, wishing she could yawn as the land mammals do within boredom. Her eyes squinted for a moment as they caught sight of Elemental fish that swam gracefully. As he got closer, Seigen quickly changed his form into his complete self. "I was searching for followers," Seigen excused himself. "You are quite late," Jeunaine spoke indignantly, "Forneus dislikes tardiness."

Seigen scoffed the eel's remark. "I do not concern myself with him." Ignoring his ally for a time, Seigen swam in his way towards Forneus, the Gatekeeper. The Gatekeeper's duty is not difficult: Search and inform. However, Forneus had done more than almost any Water Elemental that is living to this date. Although he is greatly revered by even the Triton, Seigen could never take a liking into the old Elementite. The Gatekeeper was bold, daring, and honest, but he lacked patience and sense of adventure.

Forneus grunted when he saw Seigen rising up to meet him. "Late." He muttered. "Again. What reason is it this time?"

"Had I told you, you wouldn't believe me." The Elemental understood what that meant more than any other Sea Bound Elemental. Seigen had been absent at the appropriate times many times before, it didn't cease to amaze him that Forneus would bother asking the question for the infinity-ith time. Unfortunately, Jeunaine wouldn't cooperate with him.

"The Areids preparing for something." She informed the Gatekeeper. "An attack? We are unsure; That coward, Figel ran off before interrogation."

"Fine." Forneus' voice bellowed with his answer. "Proceed." The coral that lay behind him began to churn, revealing a small opening. The Elementite stared at Seigen with a scorn and moved to the side. He grunted once again, as Seigen entered first, Jeunaine following him. As soon as Forneus closed the coral entrance, Seigen began to bicker. "What is the point in a Gatekeeper?"

Offended, Jeunaine slimmered herself in front of Seigen's path. When she stopped, her sleek, black form transformed into a thin, translucent body. Jeunaine in her original form had no specific power in general, but she is quite strong. "You've asked that question many times, and you have received an answer for everytime. Forneus is old, but he has not lost his strength, like most Elementites do, eventually. Myrtyndri is young as well; he seeks the strength that will keep our existance well." She sighed and turned around. "I might as well go without you, if you plan on complaining for as long as the ocean sings." The odd thing about Jeunaine was that her insults are regularly for teasing. Seigen followed her anyways.

The Fire King felt Kar's presence immediately, but paid no attention to him at first. In his reddened arms, he held a small piece coal, burning just enough to glow a pale yellow. Vigilance turned around as Kar silently bowed to his King. "Look," he said with a solemn voice. The King extended his arm that carried the piece of coal towards Kar and continued, "This is what's left of Orgon..."

Aunas put his head down in shame, "He was so healthy at birth..."

Vigilance folded both of his arms around the piece of coal. For a moment, the entire cave shined a fiery light and dissapeared. That was the primary example of how a Sacred Torch would heal other Fire Elementals. However, it was only within the Fire King was the light produced so vivid and the heat surrounding his subject so schorching hot. No Torch has been able to mimic the original power that the creator produced. Vigilance opened the cage he had created around the piece of coal. It burned an enlivening fire. "Take him to the Anglo-Magus branch," he commanded Aunas, handing Orgon to him. "It is a place far safer than here." The Magistrate obediently bowed and left.

"I am glad you are here, Lord Kar," Vigilance turned around and faced his commander. "I have a request for you and possibly your fellow Hazes." Kar began to listen intently. "The Scarred have given various reports about the recent downfalls of Chaos. Apparently, all of the other Kingdoms are apparently suffering some type of disorder. I ask of you, to go to each Kingdom, and ask them of what woes are erupting throughout the world." Vigilance stopped for a moment, "I must say to you: This is extermely dangerous. If the riggedness of our mutual friendships between each Kingdom breaks, retreat must be your priority. However, if it comes to worst, you have my permission to fight. Kill, if necessary."

Kar simple replied, "I understand, Your Highness."

"Quickly, you must go!" Vigilance rushed. "The more we wait, the more likely we will attract dangerous affairs... I'd go with you, but none of the Torches would dare let me leave." He joked slightly, "I know for a fact, that you wouldn't let me go, either."

OOC: I'd say... go to the Air Kingdom, first. It will get Plasma working on something...

The court was adjourned. Maroon and her family of treants moved back into the southern forest, where havoc had broken loose. Brogandor ordered them to look for anything suspicious, and anything suspicious they would find. "Everyone, but the young and the elderly will search every inch of our homeland! We leave no grain of soil unchecked for! Move, move!" Maroon's decrepit, elderly voice commanded. Her younger sister's urged her to rest, but Maroon was quite stubborn when it came to resting. "I hate naps!" She yelled and begun searching with a temper.

Maroon checked every piece of soot and soil. She anxiously ruffled her leafy branches every now and then for anything that might fall out of her hair that would have otherwise stayed. With her roots, she produced small tremors that pumped the underground soil with topsoil, unveiling a pile of messiness. However, still she looked. When she was finished, family members wondered how would she ever repair her desperate efforts. She would quietly whisper, "The Golems will fix it."

Speaking of Golems... Grovyl boomed with a raging voice, "WHERE'S KINADUS?!" He didn't seem it was very fair that all of his brothers were searching when the meteoric mess had got up, walked away, and dissapeared. One would figure that Kinadus would be considerably easy to find when his body's color was in contrast with the entire swamp environment. However, that proves difficult when everything is being lifted, put back or fixed while the Treants think that the Golems will fix everything for them. "That old, bickering tree needs to teach her kids how to do stuff themselves."

Yuriendem noticed that a peculiar being did not show up at the short meeting. He recognized most by their distinguishable wift of air as they stood still or moved about, but one was missing. "Figel," Yuriendem asked him while Figel was still recovering from the attack of the Water Elementals. "On your way back here... Did you happen see Althazhar?"

"No... I think not?" Figel didn't quite hear the Talisman of Dreams. Yuriendem ignored it and called for Cyrill. "Yes?" He hadn't noticed that Cyrill was right behind him.

"Find Althazhar and relay to him this message, 'Come to Asgard as soon as possible.' I wish to speak to him." Cyrill guessed for a moment and asked, "Is this about...?"

He supposed he couldn't hide it. "Yes, my friend. It is about that other certain matter... In the mean time, I wish to ask the Entite something. Perhaps it knows something about the recent change of events. It is true that Entites have been known to never speak, but it is worth a try." Cyrill nodded in approval and gusted away. Yuriendem headed in the other direction, first helping Figel earn his rest, than wandered off into the Air Entite's massive cave.

Kar shuffled off, he was fully aware he was one of the most powerful elementals in the kingdom, but he was also awfully slow, he sighed inwardly as he moved off towards the Air Kingdom, though they were allied Kar was nonetheless uneasy about talking to other elementals, the growing tensions between the kingdoms had him nervous, and...Orgon...how many of our children...what is happening to the magma flows? These recent occurances had him troubled, he was not one of the scarred so he knew nothing about healing, but it still bothered him...

It was going to be a long journey

Kinadus lay in a pile amoungst a large amount of rubble...he was asleep, and quite peacefully then a loud shout rent the air, someone was calling him, his eyes opened and Kinadus after a moment of two gathered himself together OOC: Ever seen the golems "sleep" animation? and then turned his attention towards where it was coming from and walked to the sound irritably Can't get any sleep around here...

Carsten walked on through the forest. Even as his feet came down nothing happened to the ground beneath them or anything caught in the way, it seemed that only the part of his body high above the trees was of any concern. He whispered to the trees old stories of this ancient world for these trees were only one thousand years old at the most. As he told his stories they told him of many things which were happening now in this day and age, he knew most of the things they told but then they did tell him things about the long standing agreements he had not seen. I must have been asleep when those happened. As he lumbered through the forest news that Ohanar had come back to care for the forest spread like wildfire. Yet when he came the trees were restless and their minds seemed to be in far off places. More then once had he found sections of the forest completely dead and using his revitalizing powers he returned them to their former glory. Carsten stood at the edge of a lake connect with two rivers.

One to the Sea & One to the Heart Of The Earth Kingdom.

Carsten began to shrink, eventually becoming 9 feet tall much smaller then before. He kneeled upon the soil next to the river and cast his hand over it. A drop of ice fell hitting the water and the water did change. Becoming solid ice the wave of ice Rocketed towards the earth kingdom. Yet as the wave of ice spread almsot just as quickely did it once more become water. Though the only reason for this was to smooth the water, to make it like a sheet of glass, and so it was. Looking into the water Carsten did not want to believe what he saw, more than once this kind of thing had happened. A glimpse of the future, a world rent in shadow and flame, but these visions of the future were not set in stone. So this world still has hope.

Cyril would have taken off if a certain Elementite didn't halt him. "Lord Cyril, it is I, Villavaso. Please do not bother searching for Lord Althazhar, I will find him faster, pass your message unto me and it will be delivered." Villavaso had just entered Asguard, as Althazhar sent him to do. Althazhar felt the threat that emanated in the air. He smelled the air and wind as it told him their stories.

Cyril bowed the the old one and spread the message to him. (OOC: Please post what he told Villavaso in your next post, Star.) Villavaso listened intently, and when it was given, Cyril added a final note. "It is good to see you, Villavaso. For the years you have served us, it is regrettable we do not see more of you since you are mentoring Althazhar." Villavaso thought to himself and nodded slowly.

"Asguard knows he needs it, but I have faith he will become wise." Cyril smiled to the elementite and gave his farewells. He left to return to his place on Asguard and Villavaso simply vanished into the air.

------------------------------------------------------------------

Althazhar was high in the air above the forests of Gaia. He stood in the air with his arms crossed as if it were ground. He pondered deeply as his long hair flowed with the wind. "I am back, my lord." Villavaso phased into form near Althazhar.

"It has certainly taken you enough time, Villavaso. What did you learn?" Villavaso told the "prince" of what he heard Yuriendem say and of what Cyril had told him.

"They want you to stay near Asguard and stay watch around for any messengers. They say the other kingdoms know of what is happening and might send anyone they can."

"Ridiculous. Am I to play guard duty while events are happening to this world? I am much more satisfied with a more investigative approach."

"But, Lord. Even investigators must have their witnesses' words before they begin. Perhaps you will learn more of what you seek by simply waiting for word. As of now, we have little knowledge as to what this disturbance is, or what is causing it. Receiving the knowledge of the messengers will reveal some of those facts to us.

"...You are correct, Villavaso, as always. I will wait and keep lookout...But I will not wait for long." The elementite would bear a smile if his face could show emotion. His lord was learning slow and slow, but still learning.

I found a clearing not far from the river which he had looked into. I wondered if the other elementals of this world would understand my wave of ice, if they would answer me. I had sent the wave of ice across the world all bodies of water connected to the Sea. It was a risky move to make but I knew that the world had need of me. If this world was to survive the times ahead all would need to be united, for a world of pure shadow and destruction is a world no one wishes for.
I wandered into a cave at the edge of the clearing and became a pool of water. To rest till my call was answered.

"For to long my message has gone unnoticed. If they do not understand the old signals then I shall make them." Carsten stalked from the cave. As he walked past trees in his anger he ripped the water from them killing them. He raised his hands to the sky and twisted, the clouds lurched forward and began to merge together swirling. A high wind began to rise and the clouds turned black as night. A bolt of lightning streaked across the sky as he pulled the clouds. His anger boiling within him he curled his hand into a fist and brought it down, his movment so jerky and mean the clouds were almsot ripped apart. Above in the sky across all of northern-central Gaia great clouds began to gather as black as night a phenomenon that had never happened before. Lightning streaked across the sky and hurricain level gales rushed through the air. Carsten roared to the sky in an ancient language and thunder louder than anything ever heard exploded across the earth. Snow and ice began to fall in this storm.

The Blizzard Had Begun.

OOC: I want to get Kinadus involved, so...

---

Through the bark that protected her body, Maroon's hollow eyes squinted at the far corner of the mountains, easily visible from her position. Maroon had gone far out of the forest and near the base of the northern mountains, where white pellets began to blanket the floor. The odd thing about it was that the old Willow was completely unprepared for the seasonal change. "What blasphemy is this?" The Elder complained, "Snow during New Leaf?" It was indeed very suspicious, and Brogandor wanted all of them to investigate anything suspicious. Maroon left without whispering a word to anyone of her children. She knew of one Elementite that could do this. (New Leaf is Spring, for those who don't know)

The snowflakes went far, into the swamplands. All of the Golems knew that even in Leaf Bare (Winter), it never snowed in the swamplands; it just rained. To Grovyl, it defied all he had ever known. "The world's gone mad," he cried. Since Kinadus would not come out to reveal himself, Grovyl decided to find him, himself. After tossing about many rocks and tiding many bogs, he discovered that Kinadus was already awake. "What're you doing?" The Titan's hollow eyes tightened.

Kinadus was confused, perhaps even more so than Grovyl was. He had never seen snow, either. Maybe several times in the southern woods, but never in the northern section. "What's happening?" he asked the Titan.

"The old hag is missing." Grovyl was referring to Maroon, but the reference was commonly used by him. "The other Treants said she went up the mountainside and dissapeared. Isn't it funny how she dissapears when the snow starts?"

It seemed obvious what the Titan was going to say afterwards. Kinadus said it for him, "You want me to help search for her?" and was instantly pardoned to go. The Titan claimed to him that it would make up for his laziness.

The meeting with Myrtyndri went strangely. Seigen noticed that there was something occupying his mind, among their own discoveries. "Pay it no mind," Jeunaine told him after he asked her if she had noticed it, as well. Evidently, she did and went along buisness as usual. However, now that the pair was done with their patrol, the two seperated. Seigen was relatively alone without Jeunaine to keep him company, but he did find other things to do.

Telling Forneus of his intentions to back to where he had just been, Seigen left the capital. Becoming a common fish once again, he ventured near the Gaia's shore and traveled back upstream where he had been before when he incidentally met Figel. "I find it difficult to shake an unsteady feeling while I was there," Seigen told the Gatekeeper, desiring to explore the location once again. Permitted, he quickly found himself in the exact place where he had last seen Figel retreat. The masking cloud that he produced was gone, but definitely was something strange. There was a glint of light farther upstream.

Seigen followed the gazing light that glimmered in the background, further up the hillside. He eventually found the river's source, a few thousand feet above sea level, but the shine was still out of reach. "What is that?" Seigen thought. No Elemental he knew of any racial type could produce fine, pale light of such quantity.

The Water Elemental stared with alert eyes. The light moved. And a dancing figure fled with it. It must have saw me. It seemed awfully intelligent if it could differentiate between common fish and Water Elementals that took the form of common fish. This was something that Seigen was itching to follow, and did. "Where will you lead me?" he asked the fleeing star, as if it could hear him.

___

Cyrill, with binding privacy, whispered to Villavaso, "The Talisman of Dreams requests to meet Althazhar immediately. It concerns..." The Air Elemental did not have the precise words to tell the old one. "It concerns the other Kingdoms. Yuriendem believes that the future Prince holds the right to do action upon this matter himself."

The Talisman of Heaven was unsure if Villavaso thought if the Prince was unfit to wield such a burden, but he accepted the message and left.

"Can you comprehend the recent illnesses of the planet?" Yuriendem asked the Air Entite. It was an enormous figure, wrapped in blankets of thick smoke. It expanded with every breath and shrunk as it exhaled. The Talisman of Dreams had asked it many times if it had known anything. It never answered, it only continuted its never-ending grasp and release of the air. "Surely even you, Guardian of this floating land, have some sort of premonition? Or an insight?" He kept trying, hoping for something. He wondered if any of the others had pondered the thoughts of the Entites.

When he thought about it, the Air Entite has the most proof of it having its own mindset. It brought chaos to Asgard in the past, out of anger of Ley Wei's rebellious actions and the invading Fire Kingdom. What more reason was there? "I've seen it all!" The Talisman of Dreams yelled to the amorphous gas, "I know what you're capable of. And yet, being so cold, to not grant the world the knowledge needed to perhaps save it from an inevitable clash of events? Ridiculous!"

As Yuriendem tried to leave, the Entite exhumed a gale of energy that lifted him into the air and out of the cave within a couple of moments.

___

The Fire King returned to the capital, relaying a single message to Aunas, the one he managed to meet first on his way back home. It was quite fortunate. "Have the Sacred scout Gaia." He knew that the Sacred Torches were not originally meant to explore the expansive continent. He originally thought to let the Sacred go alone, but the idea was foolish. "Go out as far as possible, but stay within a few miles of Lord Kar's troop. We do not want casualties this early."

Vigilance figured that if any of the others had already begun war, he might as well prepare their own as necessary. "Make sure Syrs goes with them, too. Have them inform Lord Kar as they reach their destination."

As the days turned to weeks Carstens mind cooled from mindless rage to complacent philosopher. He thought of reasons for no answers, that maybe people didn't understand. The World has changed alot. So as he thought the blizzard slowed and its howl of fury became instead a soft breeze. The snow fell still but no danger did it have to the land. Carsten with a calm and cool mindset left his cave and journeyed to a clearing in one of the lower valleys to sit and meditate on the recent events.

The score of Hazes watched Kar expectantly, awaiting orders, they were nearing the border of the Air Kingdom, and Kar was contemplating what he was supposed to do, how to get up to the floating city of Asgard was beyond him, though Kar supposed he would need help from Air Elementals. Kar sighed and commanded "Light a pyre, as bright as you can make it, hopefully the Air Elementals will notice our presence and talk, otherwise we will have to move on to another kingdom" Several Magmus Hazes moved forward to do so, quickly there was a large blaze that would be visible for miles around.

Kar folded his arms, and waited...

Kinadus was bored

Looking for some treant was not exactly the most exciting thing in the world, yet this is what he had to do, sleeping on the job got the Titan angry and Graniteheart did not want to contemplate how the Elementite could make life miserable for slacking off.

Yet here he was looking for some treant...

OOC: Er Star, I have no idea where to even begin, perhaps in the OOC thread you could give me a freakin clue as to where to go?

Carsten walked through valley's of snow, skated across frozen rivers and spoke to trees with words of wisdom. He learned that some one was looking for the source of this power, a treant. He pondered how this meeting would go and who this treant was. He knew many things but names did slip away, it was one of his few failings that had come with old age. Carsten sat within a grove of willows and raised his hands. The clouds above still let snow fall in small drifts. He began to pull together the light around him refracting it into a beam of pure blue light streaming up into the sky.

The Treant will understand this at least, now it is my time to wait.

Villavaso appeared once more to Althazhar's side, holding a part deux to the message he had received. "Lord Althazhar, upon most urgency, my old mind had forgotten to tell you. Yuriendem desires to speak to you personally. You may need to go back to Asguard after all." Althazhar nodded to his sage and dismissed him once more and he faded away, back to Asguard, no doubt. It wasn't long before Althazhar landed on the floating city and met with the Talisman of Dreams.

(OOC: You'll have to post what Yuriendem said to him in your next post, Star. I'm moving on for HoS.)

-------------------------------------------------------------------

Upon Althazhar's return to the skies, he had arrived just in time to experience something "outer-kingdomly." The air was warm...as he opened his eyes from the focus on the feeling of the air, the answer to that question was obvious. Villavaso faded into existence yet again. "It is a pyre, my Lord. Not natural, it could have only been made by the fire spirits from Chaos itself. The intensity of such a large bonfire proves that theory."

Althazhar nodded, arms folded. "That means it is probably a message, Villavaso. If they meant to attack, they wouldn't create such a large spectacle. It is what we've been waiting for. Let us go pay whoever lit it a visit. I want you to speak on behalf of us, Villavaso. You are more of a public diplomat than I."

"Yes, my Lord. I will arrive with you and speak if it is your wish." So the two descended upon the heated area of the messengers from Chaos. One was clearly the superior of the rest. Althazhar descended from the skies with arms folded as if the movement had not hindered him in any physical way. Villavaso remained at the prince's side to speak and did not hesitate. "Welcome, messengers from Chaos. I am Villavaso, diplomat and speaker on behalf of Asguard. This is Prince Althazhar, future Talisman of Dreams and leader of the Air Elemental populace. What do we owe the honor that you have traveled this far to speak? Is it regarding this disturbance?"
