You know, i had so much planned for this piece, and it really didn't turn out the way i'd hoped.

Sigh, i really need to get some professional lessons.

The dude with the sword and the eyes are the only bits of this that actually turned out the way i'd hoped they would.

Oh, and before anyone asks, hes his hands are supposed to look all blocky and simple, although even those didn't turn out the way i'd hoped.
The way i see it, who needs fingers when you're an amorphic mass.

well, make lineart sketches first then with which you can mess around until you get something you're pleased with. After that paint over them or actually rather first block in the basic colors. It looks like you've jsut started painting without really caring about the design of those things you put in there. If you'd done a sketch on paper before that, you could still scan it in and adjust it.

The design of everything except the the dude standing there is imo a bigger problem than the colors and effects not adding to the believability of that thing being made of fire. Ofc one could guess, and would do it most probably, that this was a fire/magma creature. But it could be also some thorn thingy with unusual colors in a brigth area

you aren't the only one who needs help drawing. i have a serious problem with parts of ppl. its pretty good but his arms look stretched but short and the guy down below looks like a space marine with no head.

I actually think this is a lot better then previous work, just keep at it and keep drawing stuff, you'll get "there".
