Hello, so how i can make item shop like dota.. or something like that. ? where i should start first? item table is... i know only how to put item only TO UNIT, but items drops only then he die.. i want just insert items to some building for example. Sorry for question, bud didnt find any tutorial Thnx in advance for replies. |

Please explain what inserting items means. Do you want an inventory or an item shop? |

I take it english is not his first language. However, I'm GUESSING that what he wants to know any the following: 1. How to make add items to a shop. 2. When a UNIT dies, instead of dropping the items, put them on a building to hold. e.g a Priest with the backpack upgrade would normally drop items, but instead I think he wants it to drop into a shop. I'm not sure as to what he needs yet, so I don't think going into too much depth would be wise. |

On structure-type units, there's actually a field... I'm not sure what exactly it's called because I don't have world editor, but it's called something like "Items Sold" |

sorry, YES i found something like Sell items..... blah blah ok so made new custom unit in object editor, by object abillities i made it by Sell items. When i save everything, and then i make my custom building with abillity sell items, nothing happens, Only the same in custom object properties window i see abillity sell items but i CANT IT activate... dont know how i can activate that building abillity to sell. |

I think I've found his problem down to what it is exactly... he's created a shop with items 'n' such, but whenever he buys an item, it is dropped onto the ground as opposed to being given to the hero. Here's what to do with some notes. - Don't use the "Techtree - Items Made" - Use the "Techtree - Items Sold" - As far as I know, Select Hero is optional and is only used to let people adjust buyers, however I'm not 100% sure so just add it - Shop Purchase Item is vital. 1. Get your building 2. Add the items you want to be sold at it into the Items Sold field 3. Add the abilities "Select Hero" and "Shop Purchase Item" to it And there you have it, a shop. If by "DotA" shops you mean recipe shops, I made a tutorial on that... http://www.wc3campaigns.net/showthread.php?t=98324 ___ If in doubt, just copy the Goblin Merchant unit and then change the "Items Sold" field and any other graphical/sound related things to whatever you need. |
