So I felt like doing some useless model once again. I'm trying to make a western villain version of the bloodmage; except I can't seems to get anything right. The head is pretty much done, but more than an ebul banker\ore baron, he looks like a mad doctor or undertaker. And that's not good. Not at all. If you manage to understand what's wrong with it, advices are appreciated. Edit: Might aswell start a little gallery here. Editt: I take inspiration mostly from this little website. http://oldwest.witchhunter.net/ |

hmm... i reckon the lenses are too far apart and too high up on his face, thats what makes em look more like goggles than those swanky little glasses the other guy has |

Good point, that, along with the hat, is one of the main issues. Better now? ![]() |

yup much better still needs something though, i think it might be his hat - it appears to be only just sitting on top of his head. |

Well, yes, unfortunately there are a lot of things that would get in the way if it was lower: ears, eyebrows, hairs, forehead. But feel free to take a look yourself. |

damn, i see your point... only tinkering with the BM head could fix it. oh, i just noticed the irises are upside down on the texture nice anims btw, i lol'd at the 1st one |

I still have a couple of ideas for the head, but for now I have to rewrap the whole body; three cheers for corrupt files and losing one hour and half of work! ^____^ |

u should edit his face, he looks too much like the bm right now. (especially his eyebrows) and the hat textur is very blurry and not really fitting to the hat. also, i might be wrong, the proportions look wrong, especially the shoulders i think. my gf says that in her opinion the head and the hands are too big aswell. the walk anim pwns! |

Nasrudin, try putting everything on the wrap, don't use the pant texture for his boots, hat etc. This way, it'll look way better. I especially like the concept you're using, if you manage to pull it off, it'll be awesome. |

But the body is not unwrapped yet, I'm still busy with making new bones and assigning them to the mesh. Not to mention, I don't have a texture for most of it. I leave the unwrap for last usually.Buuuuuuut, to be honest I am bored of it already. I'll get back to work in a day or two. However, if you want to see something new, look at the first post. |

shouldnt u first unwrapp and then split the model to animate it? this way you would have less edges (well, where two unwrapped faces connect one of their sides, huh, very bad english -.-') |
