The colors are a bit strange. For example, the legs are blue and so is the chest, but the legs are a little bit darker, but they clash. The shoulder pad is also wierd because its purple, and you might try to fix the muscles so they look a little more natural and not like they were drawn on with a pencil. Good idea for a blue orc, though. |

It lacks shading on all areas, lacks a real coherent theme, has too many flat colors, and overall needs a lot of work. Consider looking into the 2D tutorials posted in our tutorial section and see what you can learn from that. Also consider googling some beginner techniques, as it's really difficult to give meaningful feedback when so many things are wrong. |

I've already told you the same thing on the Hive Get rid of the CnP, and do better shading and give it a general "theme" as Dusk said |

OK, this is going to be a bigass list of suggestions. - the muscles are in hella odd places. google anatomical references or whatever to get a better idea because at the moment his chest looks like Optimus Prime's :P - the face is a serious Zergblob of mishmash colours. unwrapped it has no definition whatsoever. you need to show where the lips/cheeks/eyebrows/forehead etc are. - the pants are hella blurry. this can be fixed using smaller brushes. - there are no distinct highlights or shadows, just blurry colours and dark lines. - the cnp, i'm not entirely against cnp, provided its done well. here, its just a bit random. ok, so fix those things and you're on your way. SOME QUICK TIPS: - having a recent version of photoshop helps a lot. - having a tablet helps just as much. - for metal, use 1 pixel brushes to do the outlines and build up strong areas of light and shadow. if you want use a sharpen filter or brightness/contrast on the metal parts. - using Oinkerwinkle's Vertex Modifier to check how the texture wraps on the model saves mega heaps of time in trial and error. - try using harder brushes for warcraft skins - soft brushes are only good for glowy effects here. this is a good start, so please keep working on it. my first skins would have made your eyes bleed :P |
