PTetris Single Player. 3 Can watch Features: Levels 1-20 Score System Game Resets after you lose asking if you would like to play again. Sound Effects (keep warcraft music on, and warcraft sounds on) Controls: Arrow keys to move or WASD Keys. (Note the hot keys WASD keys run better) Drop block, hotkey C. Cameras: 3 different cam angles. Click on one of the three cams to change angle. Sources: All sounds came from Tetrinet/Music Came from Tetris (GameBoy) Note: The War craft input is a little slow. But After my last update there is hope for multi player. Doesn't mean i will take the time to do it anytime soon (Soon Meaning next 3-4 weeks) if it is fast enough. (thats a matter of opinion) Note: That the Hot Keys run a lot faster then the arrow keys. Note: I used only the GUI. The map is unprotected. So if your interested in seeing how it works. Or even to learn from. Or better yet to find a way to improve on it. Changes Made:

Read the rules. 24 hours then I bin this (if it doesn't meet the rules; if you can't find them, then really should give up modding). |

God I love how noob friendly these forums are! (Sarcasm just so you know) Welcome Mark, don't mind Captain but understand what he is asking. One your post is not up to this forum's standards. As well your spelling is very poor thus to solve this just take more then 10 secs to type out your message. One of the requirements of posting a map idea/summary is to give much more information about it. So when you edit your post try to include more information then just "based on tetrinet" and "is tetris with battle modes". If you are confused or need to figure out something, either try tutorials for general information or use the search function. Otherwise if you don't find your answer just ask and someone will likely reply if the post is well written, concise, and to the point. Again welcome to the forums hope your stay is long and prosperous (didn't know what else to say :P ) |

We're friendly if you can be bothered to show the basic level of respect in reading the rules, or, alternatively, simply posting with proper information so you don't look like an idiot. |

Exactly that is why I say noob friendly. Most people on here expect everyone to be perfect and start making these champion posts about there 5 star map that will be finished in 5 days and have 14 new unique systems that everyone can copy and use. I know I over exaggerated but the point is that you people need to ease off on noobs otherwise the mapping community will almost never get new ideas or people. |

@Salbrismind Where in Captain Griffen's post did he say anything about his map? |

Tetris isn't a bad idea. Ill be willing to code it in JASS if you like. As far as I see, the major codes that will need to be made are the controls (maybe using the arrow keys), rotating the pieces, creating collision between each piece, and keeping it fairly optimized. If you created a struct for each falling piece, and list each piece in order by using an integer array, you could probably easily do everything but destroying full lines. For that, you could just check each line each time you move a piece. |

We don't expect them to have quality stuff, just to bother to read the rules and abide by them. Being bothered to type stuff out correctly is also a bonus (and don't tell me he doesn't know to capitalise...). |

There you go, now it's a fine presentation. Since it was pretty much tl;dr will singleplayer be an option at all or is it just multi? |
| 02-21-2008, 11:18 AM | #10 |
I havent thought about that. Single player is about to come out. its done just got to add a few more features. But i guess for the muitlplayer it will. Ill have to add a mode where players can all just play as if its single player. Thnx. |

Good you made a nice post. And the game sounds pretty good. Few things: 1. You spelled "board" wrong about 20 times in the post, so you should go back and edit it once more. You also misspelled a few other words, so a little edit will do the trick. 2. I'm a little worried that it might turn out too simple but because your learning it is good to try something simple just consider doing something more with the modes. |

Overall I am truly amazed you could create this. Not you personally but I mean that this is very well done, the lines being deleted and the blocks moving. However there are a few minors problems: 1. The purple block, the one shaped like an L is rotating in the opposite direction as the rest of the blocks. I'm not sure if its the only one but from what I saw it was. 2. The motion of the blocks is very slow, even during the first level. I can understand an easy start, but its much too slow. By level 6 i had played for over 30, much too long. Just increase the speed or make it speed up per level faster. 3. I would suggest that when players hold up, down, left, and right that it's effect would continue to go until the player let go. I found it annoying to press left, right, or down over and over to get the effect I wanted. 4. There exists a large delay from blocks hitting the ground and the next one coming. I would greatly suggest lowering this delay because it gets annoying fast. 5. I'm sure this is not the final product, but I was wondering where these modes are. Where these special blocks are. 6. There is a spelling mistake in the retry dialog. Says: "Would you like to try agein?" Obviously "again" spelled wrong. 7. Add a player 5 computer so players don't have to put one in each time they play. It tells us that we need to have an opponent if you host the map on the battle.net by yourself. 8. I'm not 100% but the camera feels like it isn't center or angled properly. I wanted to check the code but the triggers don't seem to show up in the editor... Anyways, great map, looking forward to the next version. |

About your suggestions 1.) ill get on it 2.) ill speed up all levels (dont see a problem with level 1 being relly slow) b. i will bring it down so you level up twice as fast. 3.)The hold button thing i know that can be done but i will have to get to that after most everything else works. beacuse i couldnt figure it out. it will take me some more time to get that to go. 4.) i want a delay but i agree its a bit much 5.) Those wont come till muitplayer 6.) Fixed 7.) ill get on it 8.) I agree that the carma angle isnt perfect. but i think it will have to due for now. not sure what version you played. i posted the prebeta and the beta. the beta is alot better. Also Current version i have a few things i am changeing 1)Three teams One is player one is speactor one is computer 2)Currently cameras werent working for 2,3,4th player thats been fixed but new version not out yet. 3)At some point i want to add show players quit, pause at loading screen till user press any key or 60 sec and put stuff in quest menu. 4) i changed the feild so its easy to tell what row now. 5) fixed a bug that happens when you try to start before its all ready. |
