Haha, you'll never get finally rid of me. I shall return ever now and then with some pointless conversions or whatnot.

Had a vision and converted Rexxar into orc shaman.

EDIT Added image of earthfury shaman armor which I used partially as a reference, just to point where the color scheme comes from.

It would look better if you had modeled him after the actual orc shaman model with the wolfskin clothing, I think that would've made a lot more sense than random purple. Also, the magma (I assume it's lava or something) shoulderpads and weapons make no sense. This is an Orc shaman, not some volcanic being. If you're going to pick a theme, at least stick to it and pick complementary colors! The ones you chose clash massively.

Oh, and attach the image to the post, don't link to the failshack. Ew!

First of all, I did attach the image to the post.

Secondly, I did not model him. Just skinned.

As for the rest... In warcraft shamans are sages who interact with wilderness and elements, hence fire/earth theme on shoulderpads and weapons. And thus the picking of model.

For the color scheme, I think it's more a matter of personal taste. Maybe the purple would have been a little grayer/darker, but I used some WoW shaman armor sets as reference and ended up using this color theme.

Hrm, it loaded in imageshack at first for me for some reason. Weird.

I'm not a moron, but you should have modeled him after the orc shaman. Check the definition of the word, it's being used correctly.

Be that as it may, I think your choice looks terrible and clashes incredibly. There's a reason most things that use purple do not use large doses of red/orange and vice versa. I think more of a cohesive theme and feel is in order.

EDIT:
Some other comments. The folds on the clothes are kind of dinky and undefined and the belt (I have to assume it's a belt) is really lost in the purples and yellows. Some additional shading and contrasting should be given to the torso area.

I knew you couldn't resist skinning again Mord :)
I think it's good, and I know your basing it off that tier of WoW shaman armor
I would say..instead either give him lightning weapons instead of the magma?

Also, all of the greys on the boots and gloves look really flat, unshaded, and out of place.

You have some personal grudge against me? Have I banged your girlfriend or something? :D It just seems that you must point out all the flaws and express them in very aggressive way. Good points all, I can't deny. Don't take me as an idiot who has no understanding on colours, themes, shadings and stuff like that. I just did this for fun, you know. Some people entertain themselves by doing something they enjoy. I didn't think too much realism when I skinned this fantasy character.

EDIT: Thanks, THE_END, I'll take that stuff into consideration.

What, because I don't think your work is as good as it could be you suddenly think I have a grudge against you? I've done nothing but give constructive and concise feedback, and here you are complaining about that. Would you rather receive no constructive criticism at all?

That doesn't even matter. Even in fantasy it doesn't excuse using clashing colors. And I'm not being aggressive, I'm being blunt. There's a critical difference. It doesn't help you get any better if all you get is "ZOMG WTFPWN WORK RELEEZ PLOX" whereas it can help you tremendously if someone is very critical of your work. Typically, artists want the kind of feedback I'm providing.

I have always had critical feedback on my works, I have no problem with that. I think my ego can bear to admit someone is right and take advice. On a good days.

Never said it should be "ZOMG..." stuff which I hate, however, you did made your points clear on first post. After that you've been just repeating yourself and telling how ugly it looks. That's not creative criticism. That's opinion.

You say I'd like to hear "ZOMG WTFPWN WORK RELEEZ PLOX" comments and comment on this thread right the opposite, which isn't helping either. Only with proper grammar.

Quote me using those words.

Quote me on it, I bet you can't.

Anyways, since you don't appreciate my feedback, I shall consider myself ejected from this thread.
Good day to you.

Childish way of trying to be clever and perhaps funny. It's on character's waist, it goes round him, it's skinned where Rexxar's belt was, so yes, it is belt. Though it might not look like one from your basic H&M catalogue, I think we both know it is belt, so no need for that smartass stuff.

Just to point some.

You should use something similar to the shaman set's belt imo.

This is really quite nice, i tried doing the same thing once, but it ended up looking like poop :P

i think the purple is a little too saturated and the whole thing could use a little more contrast for definition.
