All right, listen up. You want this damn thing on time? Then WORK FOR IT. Give me samples of as many human voices as you can. Not POMPOUS ones. At least one of the voices should be your own, unenhanced, voice. Unless you want to listen to me talk to myself as a dozen different characters, pony up dammit. |

I suggest to put a plot so you can avoid voices saying: LOL, WTF, O'Rlly?? Additionally suggest a format or something, with tools for recording and such... |

I suggest you actually look. The plot is here. http://wc3campaigns.net/showthread.php?t=93498 The plot is stickied. |

I just found this awesome thread. So want kind of speeches do you want? Like the kind that units have? Any scripts? |

Unit speeches. Try this line on for size: Yes, my lord. As you command. That's generic enough. |

How's this: Human: 1. By your Command! 2. Your wish is my command! 3. Yes sir. 4. As you command. It would also serve us better if you could tell us about the kind of units you need speeches for. I understand orcs and humans, but are some dwarves like in wc3 or are they all normal humans? Also are there any special characters like the mortar team, that has 2 distinct voices. Do you want any of the pissed voices, if so do you want the classic humorous kinds blizzard has made or just plain out pissed? Either or I'll try a few of those and show you some. Btw, I'm glad to be helping out and all, hope it all turns out well! Here are the files I just made: DocSpeeches.rar I always wanted to do some sort of voice acting, need a arnold swartzblahblahblah? I do him well :p Anyways, sorry if its a bit rough, i'd polish them but I'm not sure exactly how. If you want any more, or some other voices like dwarves I can do pretty well I just need something to say or material to work with. |

My computer neither has sound nor do I have a mic or any voice-recording device, so I voted for the second poll option. I hope you get some help in this area though, although I honestly don't find in-game soundsets absolutely horrid. (Maybe you do, though!) |

HEY! That voice on "As you command" is about perfect for everything I need. I suppose there's been a bit of a misunderstanding - what is said in these auditions doesn't matter, because if someone gets used, I send them the entire collection of lines. That said, are you available to record some lines? If you can have them within, say, twenty hours from now, that's awesome, if not, then there's no hurry. I'm sending them to you in a private message, you should have it soon. |

What he needs is a voice actor for some custom speeches, the scripts he gave me already were off what seems like cinematic speeches or cut-scene style conservation. |

Yeah, Sal is right. Dudes? This isn't a series of maps recreating Warcraft I, with the mission briefings lifted from the original game. This is a REMAKE. Cinematics! In-game dialogue! |

Sorry I snapped at you, anyway. Yeah, I send the script giblets to people when I decide who to have them voice. It's too big to send to someone complete, and we like to keep it secret. The people voicing characters right now don't know anything about what's happening beyond their lines, and that's what I want - so they can enjoy the game too. |

As the first (that I know of) I of course promise to keep everything I know so far under raps. Basically the routine is like an audition, send in a nice example of some general speech and show some enthusiasm and they will give you some work, at least thats how it worked for me. |
