I'm not going to beat around the bush here: we are altering the release. Thanks to delays in voice acting, and a hectic work schedule for John, we cannot in good conscience release the first Human installment. Before you start yelling or weeping, however, read this: We are releasing a fully functional, fully playable, completely featured multiplayer map for the current build of Dawn of Chaos on March 4 in place of the installment. This isn't the old Multiplayer Demo that only works half the time and contains outdated material. This is a multiplayer map using all the latest DoC advancements, with the functional road and wall systems, all the units and structures, and all the new tilesets, models and textures. It involves its own .exe and files, and once properly installed, you can play it with your friends. Testing the old, bad versions of multiplayer was an absolute thrill for me; it was great to realize that our game was actually going to be fun. It hurts us immensely to have to put off the release AGAIN, but this time we know we can give you something that at least partially makes up for it. If possible we'll release a few more multiplayer maps while we work the kinks out of this recalcitrant release, but by midnight March 4, in whatever time-zone hits midnight last, you will have some Dawn of Chaos to play, just like we said you would. Let me apologize personally for this delay. John has been working feverishly to keep this project going, and the amount of voice work I've done over the past few days is unbelievable. We currently have over half an hour of voice work for just this cinematic and three levels alone. Reams of textures, models, and triggers go into making this mess work, and I promise you, once it's perfect, you'll have it. It would be a crime against the quality of the project to give it to you before then. You might want to mention to John that he said he'd eat his hat if we missed the installment release. BE HERE LATE MARCH 4 FOR THE BRAND-NEW MISTY FOREST MULTIPLAYER RELEASE! It's not a demo this time, folks! |

Honestly? Seriously, completely, honestly? By measure of who has done something within the last two weeks that directly contributes to this project, there are three of us: John Drake, who has been mapping, modelling, skinning, triggering, testing, and going insane, the force that keeps us moving; Myself, having completed the necessary scripts for this portion of the game and now immersed in voice acting and trying to find others to do the same; HandCLAW, one of our two concept artists, who has drawn up some defeat screens. Xaran is always around, and Vessboy will probably be too, he's just momentarily not. Antihero and Albiino are around occasionally; not sure the last time they did much, although Albiino helped us test. So, in terms of usefulness to getting the project out? John at the forefront, and myself way, way, way behind. What a surprise that we're not done yet. |

hmmm just a question though, since it does have its own exe to run it, will singleplayer stuff still work? cause i may have fucked up something that it doesn't update my wc3 so I'm stuck on 1.21 and can't play online |

Down trip 'bout the delay. Though, I guess it gives me more time to finnish the website and stuff before any of the campaigns are released. So... good for me (trying to get the best of these sad, sad news) ![]() What eases the pain, is that we'll be releasing a multiplayer map ![]() Quote:

While you do need the latest patch to run DoC, it's actually possible to download it without being able to work B-net. |

Unfortunately the map we'll be releasing initially will have no single-player function - but I will be releasing one shortly with a prototype AI. |

We're testing the Multiplayer map as we speak. John and I being 'we'. So far, so good! |
