This is my bleak but imposing city terrain, made for the gloomy terrain contest over at the Hive.

What do you guys think?

Finalized.

I think it looks good. The only thing I would change is the raised pebble terrain running through the center of the city. It is too low-detailed it takes away from how small the buildings are. And the thickness and steepness of the ascent is does not work out in your favor, I'd suggest either making a road out of imported stairs or using some type of city doodad minimized and placed so it looks like a steep-hill stair path.

Aye, stairs would do. That road looks HUGE compared to everything else.
But it does look imposing and gloomy, and is a good terrain.

I agree with them. It is wonderful except the "road" sticks out cause it is too wide, too steep, and too brown. It's not a highway. lol

personally i don't think it looks gloomy. Gothic yes, but not gloomy, sun is finally shining through the fog and clouds after days(months) of rain. we get that around here. i agree about the road. the smallest cobble would probably look better, i think theres a smaller one. if u want gloomy change the sky to dark thick grey clouds, i think theres some, put in grey fog, and add rain. givin that its mostly made of two doodads it pretty dam good. the biggest problem with that street is the scale. right now it looks like theres little alleys in between the buildings but thats a nice clean huge cobble stone street. try using twisting stairs.

It's good, but the two colored grasses (Light green and darker green) collide together in an ugly fasion. Please add more of those grass doodads and shrubs. Not too sure if those dark green trees go well with the grasses either...

The fog is gray, but I don't want to make the sky darker because it's not really dark and evil, just gloomy.
But I will fix the road.
