Pine forests usually don't have all that undergrowth because the ground is coated in pine needles which makes it hard for small plants to grow. I think there's just an overgrowth under the trees. Possibly take some out, make the trees taller and add more detail like small creeks and such. |

old growth do, but not second growth. doesn't look like a pine forest. looks like the edge of an alpine meadow. but yeah its kinda plain. |

Lots of doodad clutter. Though the lighting is great, there actually could have been more added to the forest and in the bushy region to make it look more natural. Examples would be rocks, logs, and variations of bushes and ferns. As for the trees, the tree variation is good. But there should be more hill variation under the trees where we can't see it that makes the trees look taller and higher, but not longer. Overall, it wasn't that bad. Needs improvement in order to be more than decent. ~Craka_J |

I based this terrain on a pic I googled.. Thats the way I terrain nowadays The terrain shown here was like the border of a forest region... I realized that the grass tile was not to good for the pic, so I added shrubs, lots of shrubs.. Yeah it lacked rocks and creeks and logs, and the height I made it slightly varied height... like I saw in the pic, maybe it was somewhere else.. Anyway thanks for the feedback guys, I'll do better terraining next time this is just a training to develop my realism skills in terraining. This is my first terrain pic since UTM... ![]() |
