Mage Trial

I began a project some months ago called "Mage Trial". The game was intended to have to following features:
  • A single player RPG
  • You control one unit (an apprentice mage) who is passing a test to become a true mage. This mage only has access to two spells.
  • You cannot attack, nor do you have anyway to deal direct damage (although you can harm some enemies indirectly).
  • It's basically a series of puzzles
  • As you progress through challenges, you learn new spells (they only have one level), that are needed to get through the next challenge
  • All spells are utility, and none of them actually kill anything. Examples include banish, mirror image, telekinesis, invisibility, stasis ward, or minions that don't attack, but can stun, carry items, and have spell immunity.
  • There are 4 schools of magic you can learn spells from: Illusion, Support, Summoning, and Suppression

I nearly abandoned it because I had a strong vision of it as a "one puzzle, one solution" type puzzle game. However the community felt this was too stifling and repetitive. Since then, I have taken time to painfully reorient myself from my original vision towards a "randomized" puzzle game more like Uther's Party or Pyramid Escape.

At this time I have 9 rooms completed out of the intended 25, and it will be some time before I can have a working beta. The good news is that creating the puzzles is half the process, so many things don't take long at all to create/trigger.

Since some people have suggested good puzzle ideas, I am open to suggestions. If I use your puzzle, I will of course give credit to inspiration.
