Point-Target Spells on Inventory Items

Has anyone ever noticed that if you cast a point-target spell on an item in the hero's inventory the hero will cast that spell on the X/Y of the Start Location of the hero's owning player?

I find that to be quite odd.

Start location? I always thought it was where the item was acquired...

Oh, is that it? I just assumed it was the start location because I've been trying it out with heroes in the Spell Session test maps and they all have pre-set items at the map start.

That means you can make functions for GetItemAquireX and GetItemAquireY if anyone needed such a thing

That's actually kind-of useful.

I bet that particular strangeness is tied to the fact that, in melee games, you can double-click a scroll of town portal to auto-portal to your main townhall.

Wutlol? I didn't know you could do that either, though I guess it makes sense.
