The Black Citadel, the mighty fortress of Magtheridon, lord of Outland. Many dark secrets lie scheming and rotting in its blackened halls, awaiting any adventurers brave, or greedy, enough to enter the gate of The Black Citadel. Basic game mechanics: The game is simply a dungeon game, a small team of heroes enters, kills the monsters, collects the bounty and sits content amongst the treasures of the vaults of Magtheridon. The map will have two sides, separated by a massive wall in the middle of the map. Each side will be the dungeon for a team of five heroes, who will race through the labyrinthine halls of the Damned Lord to reach his throne and claim his treasure. The enemies encountered throughout the dungeon will be creeps and villains of the most devious designs. The heroes will also need to solve many puzzles and piece together many mysteries to continue ever deeper into the halls of Magtheridon. Beginning your adventure: -When the map first begins, each player will be in possession of the memory of some ancient hero. Each player will travel down the halls of legend, looking through the mysts of time at many of the heroes of the past. When the player finds a hero he finds interesting, he orders his Memory onto the four runes in front of the hero, which will display the hero's information for him, if he likes what he sees, he needs only to move his Memory onto the circle of power and he has selected his hero. -When the player has selected his hero, he will find himself in a Dreanei village outside of the Black Citadel. The villages occupants have long cowered in fear under the shadow of Magtheridon, and are more than willing to supply any champions of their cause with the finest wares (albeit for a price). The heroes will set out on their adventures from the safety of this haven, regenerated by the powers of the Dreanei priests and magicians. -Their is also a tavern in the town, where heroes who have nearly succumbed to their wounds can rest and be regenerated. Within the Blackened Halls -The Black Citadel is divided into many tiers, each separated by a massive, unbreakable gate. The only way to move on to the next tier is to find the device which controls the gate. -Each of these devices is guarded by favoured monsters of Magtheridon, each more monstrous and foul than the last. However, these monsters also carry the prized artifacts and treasures of Magtheridon, whoever can defeat the holder is free to claim the treasures of the demons favoured. -The Damned Lords servants are many and varied, and their needs often differ quite severely. Thus the Black Citadel is divided into two parts, each populated by the servants of Magtheridon, but separated by massive, impassible walls. Great heroes and legends of many nations have gathered at each entrance. Which fellowship will loot the treasure hordes of Magtheridon, and which will be left with nothing but corpses and spiders? Progress: The Citadel: -As of now I have one quarter of the Citadel complete (terrained, doodaded, guarded and triggered) -The outside of the Citadel is forested (mushrooms), but terraining has yet to be done -I have a temporary Dreanei town complete for the West side, i plan on improving it when the Citadel is complete The Heroes: -I have decided that all of the heroes will be completely customized, and have thus far been able to keep to that decision -The total hero count is currently at 9, I plan for a lot more -I am currently using models from General Frank's Warlords packs, AnemicRoyality's Dreanei Paladin and Dan van Ohllus' BigKittyBack -All of the spells are so far completely vanilla object editor, but for one. I do plan on making more trigger enhanced spells, but as of yet i have no JASS plans *I can always use hero ideas and suggestions.. inspiration comes and goes The Monsters: -all of the generic creeps are basic Warcraft creeps, no custom units so far -As for the champions of Magtheridon (bosses) i have used in game models, one of General Frank's Warlords and DvO's Chaos Tauren model. ![]() Some screenshots of the very beginning added, enjoy! EDIT: The models are now credited properly |

Interesting. From what I gather this is like pyramid escape, along with killing various monster to get to the end before the other team? I like the idea, but are the monsters gonna your average autocasters and attackers or do you plan to make them more than that? Do you plan to put, for example, a mini-boss at every tier that has special abilities you have to dodge or something? |

Aye sorry about the dual post, mix up with the logged out/need to log back in thing It is pretty much your basic dungeon crawl, killing weak creatures until you get to the boss, who is just alot tougher than the other guys (and in this case, heroes, so they get tougher as they kill you) I may add more interesting and complex boss fights if there seems to be a call out for that |

I believe that the Draenei Paladin was the work of AnemicRoyality, but I may be wrong. I do, however, know that it is not Olof's. |

I'm surprised you aren't making Illidan the boss as well as Kael and Lady Vashj...screw Magtheridon |

If you dont recall, Illidan never actually became the master of the Black Citadel, he left when Kil' Jeaden found him and told him to go back to Azeroth. When his brother and Maeiv all had their problems with him, and he helped save Tyrande, he left Azeroth for another plane... not the Outlands.... WoW screwed that up, Mag was always the boss dude in the Outlands.... and Kael and Vajsh arent in BT.. they have their own instances and either way, i am not one for WoW clones... im making this map to be a fun and unique warcraft III map... i really like Pitlords aswell.... ![]() |

How about a beta map for some testing? People might be more interested if they actually saw what you are planning. |
