NOTICE - The following information is outdated! ![]() By Archian Make your enemies shiver by the sight of mighty armies, expand your kingdom by destroying your enemies main building. Declare war on all those that would oppose you or forge new alliances. Defend those who cannot defend themselves or save others from annihilation. In the lands of Enroth, where great leaders resolve their conflicts with War. Map Information Resurrection! This map first started out in early days of 2004 but has recently been resuscitated. Most triggers have been reworked, map features new custom-made models and textures never before seen! Bugs have been fixed and gameplay has been improved from the old version. Lands of Conflict is a fast paced multiplayer map for Warcraft 3: The Frozen Throne. Your objective, is basically to destroy the enemies main building (more detailed information on that later). Once a main building is destroyed, the player who owned it is instantly defeated. And the player who destroyed it gains control of the defeated players' gold, settlement, units etc. Each player starts in his or her own settlement (Start Location). This can vary from great Castles to lesser Encampments. This might seem unfair, but fear not! LoC is fully balanced and all possible ways of unfair gaming has been taken into account and dealt with accordingly. In order to make sure that the mod is fun to play for everyone. Instead of writing about the general gameplay as a whole. I decided to go into detail about all aspects of the mod. So, as you can see below. I link to sections which includes knowlege and information about LoC that is relevant to know about. And to prepare you for the actual release! So that you won't be a total newb once trying it. Although tips, hints & guidelines regarding How-to-Play are of course available in-game. So you needn't worry if you miss a thing or two here :) Summary: Table of Content: Map Features:
Team: :P
Progress: (approximately 60% completed) Miscellaneous: **************************************************** Start Location Each player starts in a settlement, depending on faction a players' settlement can vary from e.g. great castles to lesser encampments. Regardless, the most important building for any player is the main building which are located in every player's primary settlement. If a main building is destroyed, the owner is instantly defeated and the destroying player gains control over every unit, building, gold, food production etc. that the defeated player had possession of. So it is crucial that YOUR main building is kept well-defended at all time. As the main building is the center for many events, such as; gate control, tax rate and the main building itself is a source of gold & food production. Gold & Food Production Gold and food are (primarily) produced from e.g. farms (the mob). You can choose how much your people have to pay in taxes (selected from the main building). You are eligible to choose from:
The higher taxes the less food your farms will produce thus decreasing your armys maximum size. Gates & Gate Houses Most of the settlements in LoC are enclosed by walls, moat or barricades. And gates! Gates are controlled by the main building of a settlement which are able to close, open or even repair the nearby gate. Other gates may be controlled by other buildings such as a gate house, which are located next to the specific gate. Unit Stats Imperial Legion
