The first one is called thousand bind it causes enemies in a large radius to be paralyzed and take damage over a long period of time the second is called divine oblivion, its not much i was just playing around its basically like blizzard oh if you play the map i was just testing the skill and played around with the hero unit so dont mind the hero unit im using also i haven't really change the original name ingame its gonna say warstomp and blizzard srry the effect look mass i 'm just a begginer but they are working skills the first one doesn't do much damage if you want you could, unless you wold like to give advice for those as well look at the other skills please and thank you |

um, wtf am i rating? first, we cant rate screenies and pictures unless its art, second we don't rate here to the best of my knowledge. attach the map and u can get feed back as well as better ways to do it. o, and based on the screenies its an effects spam, thats not really appreciated but think harder, ask people for ideas, and come up with a better effect. |

Both of them get 0 from me... spamming effects is not making a spell. |

Now, now, be nice guys. Both skills in your screenshots look like they would lag terribly in an actual game of anything. You might want to reconsider how you make your spells. For starters I recommend you consider that hundreds of special effects does not constitute making a cool spell. What you should strive to achieve is a unique and clean feeling without overdoing it. Check out any of the spells in the demo map database for good examples of well-made skills. Good luck in future spell endeavors, hopefully you'll take my advice to heart! |

divine blind looks good, but i think you could acheive the same affect with masks or something. i like the idea, would be funny in pvp map |

I don't even want to test the first spell. It's such serious effect spam it burns. Advice: The less effects you have to use for a spell, the better it will probably be. Why? Because then it doesn't A: Overload people's computers. B: Mask the battlefield (unless this is desired in rare cases) C: Burn people's retinas Also, you get the look of the spell across a lot better. Rather than massing 150 flamestrikes, for example, 4 would probably work just as well and look cleaner. Take our advice here. Go easy on the effects. And as a rule of thumb, PLEASE don't use large or intensive effects, if you can help it, (like the starfall casting, big explosions, etc.) for the UNITS the spell is hurting! (Especially if there are lots of units) |

In all of my experience making spells and maps, i would have to say that the simpler and more controlled the effect models, the greater the effect it has on people all of the blizzard spells are by default excellent, however NONE (but for a very few isolated, special cases) use big flashy effects making spells, in this sense, is like making a movie. The effects mean jack all if the other parts are bad or lacking. the way to make a good spell is to focus on what the spell actually DOES, rather than what it looks like ![]() |

I think you over did it. Personally, I'm a fan of special effects, but you've done a bit too much. People should still be able to see their hero through all of the effects; yours make that kind of impossible. |
