Guest | Well I was editing my map, on version 1.04, when suddenly my computer froze. When I restarted, I could not play nor open my map anymore. I tried it with Zépir's War3 Map Editor Beta 8, but I could not understand that editor. The weird part is it says my map is password protected. I've uploaded my map so that sumone can hopely fix it for me. Maybe it's just my comp that's messed up. Here's the link: http://www3.sympatico.ca/duya/Yoda13.w3m It's only 87Kb. If you help me I'll owe you two hours of my life. |

If you were editing it in normal worldedit and it you weren't saving it when it froze then your map shouldn't be screwed over... but I guess you were using some other program? |

If you use Norton System Works by any chance, you can restore your map If you do use it, email me at [email protected] and I'll tell you how to restore it, too much to type up if you don't use it. It's happened to me before so I know it works, trust me. |

If you had done testmap with it recently, there should be a copy of it in WarcraftIII/Maps/Test/WorldEditTestMap.w3m |

Hm, I do remember a while ago I would try to load my map and it froze up in the units section at the same point every time. It really pissed me off, and nothing I did seemed to help. Eventually I just moved all my maps outta the War3 directory and then uninstalled everything in the W3 folder and reinstalled and moved maps back in. It worked fine after that. Prior to that problem I had been messing around with .slk's and I assume that was the root of my problem. Hope that helps some. |

Guest | Yeah I tried re-installing too. I guess it's time for me to move on and re-start doing that map. |
