Recruiting for unique ORPG

Hey there.

Me and yohobofire have been working on this project for some time now. We call it "Everwood". We both want this game to be as unique as possible.
See progres at my signature

The map is many features.
  • An advanced camera system which allows the player to control the camera by pressing (or holding) down the arrow keys, or change the angle with Esc
  • A unique equipment system, that includes the use of a spellbook
  • An attachment system that makes the item equipped, with the equipment system, display themself on the hero
  • Items that lies on the ground, looks like themself with a rotation effect and a sparcle effect, so we wont see the ugly blizzard chest anywhere
  • Lots of custom spells
  • Lots of quests (not the borring ones)
  • A storyline (not writen 100% yet)
  • Arena with PvP or normal monster fighting
  • Crafts like fishing, smithing, skinning etc.
  • Abilities that increase with stats like strenght, agility, inteligence, level, craft level etc.

That's all the features for now. We still have lots of features in mind, but none of them are decided.

Yohobofire has been trying to make the terrain as realistic as possible. Everything is thought down to last detail, because we want the players to think "Wow, amazing, this is good. Very good!".

Both of us suck at modelling, animating etc. so we're recruiting 1 or 2 modellers for this project. As a modeller you will mostly be making weapons, armors, shields and helmets for the attachment system, but you'll also be making amulets, rings etc. that's will be displayed on the ground.

It's hard to use a chest attachment for heroes, therefor we only use 1 hero, using different skin. So as modeller you should also be able to make spell animations.

Here is some pictures of the map. More will come the following days.

The fog is waaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too close. It looks horrible to be completely honest.

The terrain, minus the fog is pretty amazing, as well as the armory.

The three pictures at the bottom look good, and it sounds like a great project.

Good luck!

A point with the terrain - many people can make terrain look great from such camera angles, but it takes a master to make it look good from in-game camera angles.

Seems very ambitious, but good luck with it.

Inside the game players can deactivate fog for themself. Also, inside the game you are not so far from the ground, that you can't see anything for the fog.

Do I spot Jig's model there without the axe?.... You are editing models without his permission guys...

It looks like a good project but editing models without the author's permission... yuck

The equip system will be a bit messy via spellbook, i suggest you abuse the inventory instead

Jigs model without the axe? We wont use that mdoel ingame, but sry anyway. i didn't notice the axe was removed. But it's just for the screenshot.

Btw, i already figured out how to do the equipment system, it's almost done now, just needs some polishment.

Is this a single player or multiplayer? From the looks of it single player.
Looks to be fun, looking forward to it though.
