Guest | Hi, im' new to this board and WC3 editing. I just started fiddling around a couple days ago with the campaigns. I wanted to edit the last night elf mission by adding some more units like letting the orcs have cairne as a hero too etc. I extracted the map file and did my stuff with the map editor. Then I deleted the one in war3.mpq (after backing up war3.mp) and added the updated map using the same name. However, when I loaded the last mission, an error message came up saying some like this: "there was an error loading the map file. It is either missing or corrupted." What do I do? |

Guest | I made sure that the filename and stuff was in the same format as the other maps. yah I used the advanced world editor. Is that not OK? I can play it if I play it in "custom game", but for some reason it doens't work in campaign. What am I doing wrong? All I did was extract the map, add some stuff, and put it back in the mpq replacing the old one. |

I am not sure but I guess a compression issue. Tel your mpq editor to not compress the map when puting in the mpq. |
