Not the UpgradeData.slk file which only determines cost, time and limit. I'm looking for the file that sets the amount of damage upgraded from the dice in a different file. I want it to change to 1-6 damage all the time, not the 2-4? I donno, if anyone knows where thsi is stored please tell me

UnitWeapons.slk?

If you are talking about the size of the damage upgrade when you research "steel forged swords", etc, it is stored in the unit attack data.

Go to World Editor and open up any unit. We'll take the Footman as an example.

Footman
Attack Base Damage : 11
Number of Attack Dice : 1
Number of Sides per Dice : 2

In game, this shows up as 12-13 damage. When you research Steel Forged Swords, the number of attack dice goes up by one - so now you have 13-15 damage.

Think of it like any pen and paper RPG. The Footman starts out with 1d2 + 11 damage. When you get an upgrade, you add one dice - now he is 2d2 + 11. With all 3 upgrades, he deals 4d2 + 11 damage, or 15-19 damage.

If you want to make upgrades give more or less benefit, change the size of the attack dice. If instead of 1d2 + 11, the Footman deals 1d6 + 9 damage, he will start with a similar damage output, but upgrades will have a more dramatic effect - with 3 upgrades he will deal 4d6 + 9 damage or 13-33 damage.
