Hello, I thought i would post a bit about the Patch to catch you modders up, i'm a lurker here in WC3Campaigns, love the cinematics! Anyway, After 1.4 years of unpatched Warcraft 3, it was time that Warcraft 3 had some tweaks to the Melee game, 1v1. The patch itself only involes 9 very small changes to the game to better balance. Westfall has in the past been used to Beta Test any new Patches before Public release on (Europe, East & West). It'll only be open for another 2-3 weeks after feedback on the balance changes, then it'll go live on the normal servers, thus Westfall will be taken down. It's a single purpose server, to beta test changes. The last time it was up was around 2003/04 when new heroes were introduced. The Server of Westfall is said to be located in California. |

The changes seem unimpressive unless there's hidden stuff in the WE Code:
-------------------------------------------------------------------------- WARCRAFT III: THE FROZEN THRONE VERSION HISTORY -------------------------------------------------------------------------- -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Patch 1.22 -------------------------------------------------------------------------- FEATURES - There is now a replay auto-save feature in the options menu. Replays are automatically saved to the "replay" folder. - Added an option to always show unit and building health bars. - You can now enable and disable the display of minimap signals from players and other observers using chat commands: /showminimapsignals and /hideminimapsignals. BALANCE CHANGES HUMAN - Scout Tower repair rate changed from 12 to 20. - Knight damage increased: Attack cooldown changed from 1.50 to 1.40 and base damage increased from 25 to 28 (Average damage is 34). UNDEAD - Increased Ziggurat base armor from 1 to 5. - Reduced the build time of the Necropolis from 120 to 100. NIGHT ELF - Reduce the Orb of venom poison duration from 10 seconds to 8 seconds. - Increase the experience gain from Dryads from Level 2 (40xp) to Level 3 (60 xp). FIXES - The cooldown on unlimited usable items (example: the staff of preservation) now persists after the item is dropped or traded. - When you unburrow a Crypt Fiend, its auto-cast will no longer be toggled off. - An exploit bug in which items could lose their cooldowns when transferred between heroes has been fixed. Edit: nothing new in common.j |

I'm glad to see that they took all of the feedback from the massive thread in their forum that has tons of things people would like to see in WE, and included lots of updates for WE in this patch. Oh wait... |

Nevermind that thread, they should have implemented what I made Anitarf post. I mean seriously, I asked them to do simple things like allowing you to disable the terrain editor, and syntax checker. Not to mention returning opengl editor support which was DELIBERATELY removed from a previous patch. But lame blizzard just ignored the thread whatsoever and let some bnet lowlives troll it. Then the silly post autoremove in the forum took it away (They probably save 6 MB a month thanks to this!) I got proof anyways: http://www.google.com/search?q=cache...tmp%3D1+opengl |

If you notice, the person wasn't a blue so it's unlikely he actually works for blizzard or attended any so-called meetings. |
