Hey, i been wondering is it posible to make a double construction menu like starcraft? one for normal buildings and another for advanced buildings? for example for human race and that you can still make other workers to help constructing a building from the second menu Thanks |

Well, there's two choices. 1. Spell book management 2. Dummy ability which selects another unit and opens the build menu from it. |

the spell book one doesnt work good, use the numer 2 one. |

Yeah, it'd be best to catch when the ability which would change builders as used, then remove builder A and replace with builder B. Builder B has the advanced buildings (but looks exactly the same in every way, shape, and form. Even modify the HP using triggers (if the builder is hurt)), and an ability to change back to builder A. It's a simple procedure and looks pretty smooth. Just be forewarned that if the builder has repair on autocast and it's not preset to do so, the autocast will be turned off when you switch (since it's two different units) Maybe using something like Bear Form, where the 'bear form' (morhped form) has a different set of buildings to make then form A? I don't know if that would work, but I bet it would be worth a shot. |

Bear form thing sounds like the best way to do it, if it does work. I get annoyed by that Fortress Survival map when I need to build advanced stuff. I get annoyed because I have to constantly re-hotkey my builder as CTRL+1. And everytime I try to get to my builder, it's no longer hotkeyed... I dunno, guess it's just me. |

LOL its funny that you mentioned fortress survival, i like the map and i offered the maker to allow me to fix the entire triggers since they have thouthands of memory leaks and yes yes this double menu thing that im asking is for this map, and bear form sounds like the best way to do it since all as you said you wont have to CTRL+1 evary time you switch the builder (i do the same thing when i play that map) |

I been testing it for a few hours and is not working right, the construction menu icon doesn't change (one of the units is clasified as orc and the other as human). If i trigger change the unit the hotkeys will be probably lost (correct me if im wrong). Another thing that i found is that if you open game interface in the icons - commands there is an advanced building icon designated that looks like the one in wc2 (steel looking) i wonder why is that there and how can we enable that feature (i don't think its there for nothing) y would blizzard add such command in the game? |

I think both forms need to be the same race and have the same build ability; the difference would be the buildings each form is allowed to build. |

i been able to do it but both buttons have to be the same and it looks bad, i can't even change the description set in game interface (i dont find it). Also to do it you have to make a third unit able to build all the buildings (normal and advanced) and add chaos to convert it to basic builder, i been looking at project revolution world editor, but i still cant figure how they make it work. EDIT: Btw: if i make this work ill make a tutorial for this |
