I'm trying to edit the Thunderclap effect's lightning. For the lightning's geoset animation, I'm trying to increase the alpha to 1.0 instead of somewhere around 0.75. I know that by giving the lightning a dark purple tint the lightning would become less visible because it is additive and dark = invisible. It seems that the geoset anim alpha is hardcoded. In magos, whenenver I changed the value of the alpha, it would reset to the same number even when I saved it and reopened the model. I tried converting the mdx to mdl and editing it from there but when i reconverted the mdl to mdx, it came up with a bunch of errors. Is there any way around this problem? |

No such thing as hard-coding in an MDL, but Magos' is known to hang onto values it shouldn't in some cases; usually those involving colour values on the side. Define 'a bunch of errors', but do be prepared to upload your MDL if we cannot decipher that. |

I think you better take a look at the mdl. I merely changed the Alpha from 0.776471 to 1.0 and then the mdl just refuses to convert to mdx. |
