Drawn in my sketchbook during class...

Used a HB pencil for the tree and a B pencil for the background and edited it in Photoshop (Contrast, Brightness and Frame)

Hail C&C
though this was a doodle.. more or less

how can you people draw with hb and b? I need 7B, 8B and 9B. The rest are just too pale.

I usually use a pencil i can find, anywhere. And those are usually HB. But hey i never render a picture with pencils, just use it to scetch every now and then. I prefer pens.

Cool picture, though.

That actually made me walk into a more or less arty store to buy a 7B pencil xD (the bastards didn't ahve 8B!)
I prefer the softer pencils too, but the probelm with them is that the drawing becomes most likely smudged in the sketchbook under certain circumstances.

That's why there's fixative :). As a side note, I prefer Stadler 7-8B pencils 'cause they're almost like charcoal but not as hard to use. They're awesome.
