Thanks, Shindo! Kurama: That's pretty interesting, and I do like the style, but I'm not certain I would call it realistic - it looks more like a filtered/custom brushed abstract art piece (to me) than photorealistic hair. ^^ It's always good to experiment~ |

Hey kewl, you work the same as I do, Jac. I LOATH burn/dodge and never use it. 99.9% of what I do is done with the paint brush with different opacities. I'm sirprised, though. I could never get that much detail crammed into a 256x256 skin. Guess I'll have to keep practicing. Sheyd P.S. I'd love to hear your thoughts on what I'm working on now, if you can find the time > http://www.wc3campaigns.com/showthread.php?t=51819 |

Geez Jaci, each subsequent skin you do for ToB seems even better than the last one. ;) There's too much to compliment on here (and I do like the low sat colors you're using...fits the character design IMO)...the close up of the face is what really catches my eye, particularly those 'veins' and how they flow right off the 'normal' parts of flesh. ^^ And I'd also like to thank you for the tip in this thread regarding how you use the paintbrush tool in PS...I never truly liked dodge and burn, tho I've used them in skins before...your method does work a lot better from what I've tried. ;) Excellent work again. well, it was before I resized it from around 1400 pixels tall :-P I actually only used the brushes photoshop comes with :P Anyways, the point I was trying to give, is that itd look cool with part of the back of it as a darker brown color ^_^;; Also, can we get some ingame shots of it? I'm interested in seeing how much detail can be seen on the portrait and ingame view :D (since thats where we'll see it in ToB, if used, anyways :P) |

I'll try to get ingame shots a bit later. The portrait's in the original post. |

Beautiful work as usually Jacinthe, I always look forward to see more of your skins, as the sig states I really don't skin now, but I was always too lazy to NOT use dodge n' burn :P. Though, using the brush always seems to be a better technique EXCEPT for when doing metals, I still think dodge n' burn is the end all tool for that :D |
