After seeing a weekly terrain with the concept floating isles it inspired me to start making a map with such a theme!

I will need help in order to finnish this map, and I hope to find it here at wc3c.

like the theme and are you intrested in joining the development?
- Then contact me and I'll explain some more of the map and my own mapping skill!

* Ofcourse you dont want me to flood with information about the map here, right?
(My excuse for being lazy)

So... You like to terrain?

Then terrain some floating isles and post the terrained map here, remeber, it dosnt have to be screenshot quality.

You may also suggest to change some thing already made by me (e.g use this downloaded model.... the rock sticks out to much.... the tp is oversized.... etz) ...as I will post the terrain development here.

umm, ok, I was thinking of a Dalaran like city.

either way,

1) How do I make a doodad be upside down?
2) if you look at the image I posted above, you see the dark area, any suggestions on what to cover that with?

*Added two screenshots, one based by KrewL RaiN map submission at the weekly terrain.

Upside down? Find "Max Roll Angle", in the object editor under the doodad you need. Shift+click it, when the box comes up, put it -3.14. If it resets to 0 it's because you didnt shift+click.

What to cover it with? Im not sure. Does it show up black in game?

yes, it shows up black ingame, I need a tile or alot of cloud doodads, well, some thing to lay above it.

wow cool, now the terrain will be much more "complet" :P

You could try seeing how layering heavy white dungeon fog works.

I wanted to make an in the sky map at one point too, ran into the same problem with the no bottom.

I think they used the tile texture in post 2 here to make it look like it was in a sky http://www.wc3campaigns.net/showthread.php?t=83680

umm, I do not understand why it has to be just 3.14, but I do understnad that it works. maybe some one else can explain futher about this.
And is it possible to instead of making it upside down making like some thing beetween upside down and normal.

OK, I tested alittle I asume that "Max Roll Angle 0" = 0 degrees, "Max Roll Angle -3.14" = 180 degrees, "Max Roll angle 1.7" 90 degrees... In a Z angle that is... so on so on.... It worked :p

3.14 is PI

There are 2Pi radians in a circle, so Pi radians = 180 degrees

You use radians a lot in higher level maths.
