Model Importing Problem

Relatively simple problem occuring with only 2 models (out of 9) that I'm trying to use:

GoblinThief
Goblin Trike

I've imported them and changed their 'Full Path' in the import manager to remove the wc3imported part of the path.

And I've saved the map, closed out of WE and then open the map back up which doesn't fix those two models.

Also, how difficult is it to edit models to put in a hero glow? 6 of the models I want to use as heroes don't have the hero glow :(

The most common way of adding here glow is just tracking down an existing attachment model and throwing it on in-game. Adding the glow on the hero's base is trivial, but adding billboarded glows to weapons and such would be a little more involved.

Both the models there require custom skins; are you sure you imported those to the correct paths?

No I didn't import any skins at all, which might be causing the problem? I'll double check those threads to see if they detail how to import the included skins.

And all I'm interested in is adding the base glow.

Yeah, if you don't import bonus skins it won't work. A custom model won't load at all without being able to locate all the textures it requires.

If base glow is all you need, then here should do the trick.

Well I've done a fair bit of modeling a long time ago, so to keep from bulking things up with dummy abilities just to add hero glow, I'd rather edit the .mdx directly to add the glow in.

Have any suggestions on a tutorial which would make that as simple as possible?

It's as simple as geoset merging. Shove it on the root bone (that's "bone", not "helper"; be careful. Use Magos' to add a new root bone if you're not sure), make sure the material is good and that's it. I think some heroes have a pulsing texture-animation and/or scaling effect, but that's very subtle and I'm certain it isn't on every hero so you can ditch it.

But as far as 'bulking things up' go, I'd strongly suggest attaching the glow in-game instead of re-importing loads of models. If you're re-importing or using customs anyway, then disregard that.

Yeah they're all customs
