This here is a set of murloc upgrades for a Hive contest ^^ I just wanted critiques that had more than three words so I decided to post them here for some reviewing et cetera, Also, where IS that borderiser thing? They never seem to work :( |

I don't really have any critique for you. They look really nice as it is. As for borders: http://wc3campaigns.net/showthread.php?t=81481 http://wc3campaigns.net/showthread.php?t=102135 http://wc3campaigns.net/showthread.php?t=97021 http://www.hiveworkshop.com/forums/resource.php?t=62902 Take your pick. I prefer the first one. The second one looks interesting too. |

The last icon looks really flat and artificial. It doesn't have depth in the stone/metal/whatever-it-is-supposed-to-be. It also doesn't look sharp at all, rather quite blunt. Your mur'gul armor icons are quite impressive, though. I can't find anything inherently wrong with those, although positioning may be strange. When you apply the border to the first one, you're going to get a lot of black space. It might be worth it to shift the entire picture in those three up and left a few pixels. Then you're not leaving so much empty space (even though it's filled with awesome glowy in the second/third). The same thing applies Also, the way you do glowy is cool, but it's splotchy. Many WC3 icons use a more smooth glowy style. This little style mismatch is hardly a problem, but is something to investigate for future icons. Otherwise, I am impressed. Good job! |

Since your sentence cut short, I took the liberty of finishing how I assumed you would have. I share the same opinion anyways; too much black space. Look at how Blizzard made their attack upgrades. Even for level 1, there's minimal black space; usually the weapon runs down the entire middle diagonal (or is big). |

Veery nice. I would say "too detailed for Wc3 icons", but it's really hard to tell, and I'm no artist anyway. So just "good job". :P |

Wow, those are VERY nice! That definitely deserves a +Rep, and i got really no critiques. Well, unless the fact that the "armor" looks like ordinary murloc flesh. Anyways, im eager to see those released as icons. Oh, and the third one looks too much like futuristic\space kind of thing IMO, i suggest making it simple metal or something, anyways, just simplify that. |
