Seen the Jaina with the Sorceress skin, I tried myself to modify UV maps of existing models. The point of this thread is: there's a more flexible program than Vertex Modifier to modify an UV map? |

The short answer: no. The long answer: VM's UV-mapper is actually pretty swish, it just takes a bit of getting used to. You can select vertices in the main viewports, and the same vertices will be selected in the UV-mapping window if you're having trouble knowing what goes where. The remap function also only operates on the selected vertices. Trying to use other UV-mapping systems... Nine times out of ten, you're going to lose all the vertex assignment data, so unless you're big on hooking it all back up (not pleasant, but doable, except that it will never be quite right). I heard tell that Ultimate Unwrap has an MDX tool, but whether it's any good, I have no idea. It's also a tool you have to buy (I believe). |

Then I'll stick with VM, thanks for such a detailed answer |
