when i go to edit healing salve there doesn't seem to be a field for how much damage is healed. Is this hardcoded for some reason? Is there a different ability i should try to base this off of? |

Look at the top of the item, where it says: Abilities - Abilities Healing Salve That is the Ability that it utilizes when used, now Go to Abilities tab, and click Edit -> Find, punch in: Healing Salve There is the skill, and where it says: Data - Life Regenerated You can alter how much is gained :) Hope that helps |

right ok i know all that. Thanks for the reply. The thing is, when you try to base an ability off of healing salve that field goes away. is it maybe that you can't make "Data" fields custom, only "Stats"? |

As far as I know, you can't make item abilities -> Hero abilities and also the other way around it doesn't work :) |

Err really? I do find that many "real" item abilities dont come with icons making them very bad choices for hero abilities, altough they still DO work. To me it sounds like you want rejuvination... But the problem was intruging enough that I decided to play around with it in the World Editor. First, you CAN set the healing amount for a custom ability, click on Healing Salve, change the amount to 1000 or whatever, then copy-paste the ability. The new ability (rename it now) wont show the data fields, but it DOES heal 1000 (or whatever), you can change it to a hero/unit ability and give a mana cost, cooldown whatever and it'll work fine. Obviously you cant do this with a hero ability because all the data fields will be set to 0, so you'll need some dummy abilities. If you want to know how to turn it into a multiple level hero spell, then I have some ideas that would work.... |
