editting healing salve and clarity potion

yeah so like wtf? Earlier i was trying to edit healing salve and turn it into a hero ability and the data field with the amount healed disappeared. I figured it was some problem with taking item to hero spell. But now i go and try to make a clarity potion item skill off of clarity potion which you'd think would work just fine. Item --> item. Right so the same thing happens. The data field where you specify how much it regenerates goes away. Can you just not edit these normally for some reason?

Someone suggested in an older thread that i could change the value to what i wanted on the original clarity potion and then copy paste a custom one and even if you can't see the value it's still what you want. But that won't work if i want to have multiple values abilities for varying items.

Why won't the damn editor work?

Help!

Yeah it'll work. Just keep changing the value on the original and copy-pasting to make the new abilities. Use the editor suffix field to record the amount healed to make it easier to keep track of the different abilities.

It's also possible that UMSWE has the problem fixed... it may be worth a shot.

it is possible that it could have just moed the field for health regeneration. like when you change the normal unit's skills into a hero than it moves damage and stuff. not sure just thinking maybe.
