I have seen a few posts about 1.13b being available but I can't find it anywhere. Does anyone know where I can download this? I have not been able to find it on the blizzard site. Thanks -AZ [edit] Here is the link to the file on the blizzard site, 16MB: http://www.blizzard.com/support/?id=mwr0744p |

Try connecting to battle.net through warcraft, like all the other normal people. :D |

I have to update 7 machines (yes, I do have 7 legitimate copies with 7 cd-keys) so I would rather not use battle-net 7 times. We only play LAN games so I haven't even registered but 3 of the copies. Anyways, is there anywhere I can get the installer? Thanks -AZ |

It takes like 10 seconds to DL the patch. |

Uh...to my knowledge, you don't need to register in order to play on battle.net. It automatically begins downloading and installing any availble updates the moment you click on and start connecting to battle.net from the main menu. |

I haven't registered, because I don't care, you don't need to, trust me. |

Seems pretty obvious to me this guy is looking for a standalone version for his Warez copies ;) |

Well dataangel, I believe him that he has 7 legitimate copies for LAN play. I know a way with the Bnet auto-update: - Log on one PC on to Bnet. - Download the update - When it instructs you to hit the Restart button, don't do it - Hit Alt+Tab to go to Explorer - Go to WC3 dir - Copy the downloaded MPQ file (some file with a long filename, it is quite easy to spot if you know the names of the actual game data files) to some other folder - Go back to WC3 and update it To deploy the update to the other machines, do the following: - Copy that MPQ file into the WC3 dir on any machine - Run BNUpdate.exe on each machine to update the game I don't know if I made any mistake here, but I can remember that I once backed up a Bnet downloaded patch. |

A few comments: 1) The 1.13 update was 16.8 MB so I don't see how 1.13b could only take 10 seconds. I don't have a Gigabit ethernet connection. 2) I actually have 9 copies of Warcraft 3 and Frozen Throne because I can afford it. It is easier for me to buy the copies rather than try to download the illegal warez these days. Once you have been out of college for a few years you will know what I mean. It's just not worth the trouble. 3) I will try the battlenet thing that Starcraftfreak suggested. Hope it works. The new editor changes in 1.13 look to be really nice. -AZ Looks like I don't have to try the battlenet thing after all. 1.13b has nothing with 1.13 size to do! it is a new patch! |

I guess that may be true but 1.13 was 16.8 MB and 1.13b is 16.0 MB. Maybe that is just a coincidence but they seem fairly similar to me. Thanks -AZ |

I guess the 1.13 -> 1.13b patch isnt available for manual dl, only the any -> 1.13b. But dl'ing from b.net definitely uses a 1.13 -> 1.13b patch, because it's only around 1mb (guestimate by how long it took) |
