our old thread was getting humongus, so i dicided to create a new one with icluding all the updated and gameplay facts. some stuff is still to be updated, i will spread it over several posts, for easyer reading.

for those who are interested: here is the old thread, in wich we discuss changes before posting them here. if you would like to have influence on the game, go to that thread. if you just have comments you may post them in here as well, as long as it doesnt get big and scary like the old thread.

The story:

After the wars, when the lich king was revived, Illidan and his followers fled to the far shores of Kalimdor. Driven to the near adge of insanity, Maev was still obsessed with hunting down Illidan and bringing him to justice. After she was rejected by Malfurion and Tyrannanede, Maev became desperate. The Lich king, also still wanting to destroy Illidan, saw Maevs slow descent into Insanity, and siezed his chance. he offered to help Maev hunt down Illidan, at the prize of her soul. Maev, Desperate and broken, accepted the Lich kings offer, in hope of finally be able to not only recapture Illidan, but to rid the world of his being for good.

Gameplay:

There will be two teams;
Maievs Watchers – Illidans Forces.

Both sides will spawn 3 warriors and 1 ranged unit every spawn.

Each team will feature 9 unique custom heroes, and almost 36 unique custom abilities.

The goal is to destroy the leader of the opposing team's leading hero, Illidan or Maiev. The heroes will be inside their base, so to accomplish the killing of a hero you will have to destroy the base first.

To get strong enough for this, heroes will have to make enough money to buy good and strong items. Money can me made with the killing of heroes, units and creeps. There will be 4 creeping grounds situated on the map where creeps can be killed for money. Items can be purchased at various shops.

On the map there are four additional bases that belong to neutral hostile races:
A human camp.
An orc camp.
A druid camp.
A troll camp.

These camps will have basic defences and unit producing buildings. These camps will also have a leader.
If the leader of one such camp gets killed, the remaining soldiers of that camp will accept the killer as their new leader, and they will start producing units for your team that will join the rest of the army.

Now, if the newly accepted leader gets killed, its killer will claim leadership over the camp the leader leads over, and so giving his team leadership over the units.

These camps will spawn 3 units, the type of units depends on the race.

If some things are still not clear to you, post your comment and I will update.

There will be four creeping grounds where you can kill creeps to make money. Killed creeps will respawn after some time. Not much is known yet about the creeping ground accept that each creeping ground will have a boss creep that, if you kill it, drops an item that allows you to summon him forth to fight for you for a short duration. The boss creeps will not respawn until they are summoned and have died in battle, or simple when the summon timer runs out.

There will be a total of 8 different shops, 2 shops that are simulair in each town, and 6 town specific shops; one for Illidans forces, Maievs Watchers, the orcs, the humans, the Trolls and the Druids.

each shop will have various types of purchasable:

Hey, what's going on. I've been looking at all the past stuff you've been doing, including the previous thread on all the custom spells, and the map does look like it's gonna be cool. I personally am trying to work on a campaign, but if you need any help, I'd be more than happy to make some items or what not.

Hey Erwtie!!!

That sounds like a really nice project... but there seems to be one flaw.

All heros can be countered by another hero(good thing) If you are against a hero... you will have extreme trouble countering it(bad thing).

I would like to be in the beta test... but alas... I have not contributed anything... and I live in the US.

It all depends on hero choice...

Like if the Maiev team gets the summoners... and then Illidan's team neglects to get the guys with dispell.

It happens in TOB all the time... if you don't have Jimmy... It's extremely hard to counter jean... and in old school Dota... without the Purity's disciple... you will have an extremely hard time countering hordes of skellies...

does that make sense?
