I know how to export the map script, that is obvious. Let's say I export the script, make some changes, and then want to import it into a map. (And have it function correctly.) Can I do this or am I retarded? |

You can not.... Well, you can import the war3map.j - But all your changes will be reset the next time you save the map. Becouse WE doesn't read .j'ish, it reads only .w3g'ish, and uses it to write a new .j file everytime it saves. So, if it's the last change before you release the map, then you just import the file into the map using winmpq or sumtin. And it will be in effect when the map plays in War3, but if you open it up in WE, and save again, all your other changes will be lost. ~Cubasis |

uuhm... wrong? o_O You CAN import an edited war3map.j and WE doesn't overwrite it. Just use the Import Manager to import the war3map.j and change it's path to the 'root' of the map file e.g.: "war3mapImported\war3map.j" => "war3map.j" (doubeclick on file in the manager, check "Use Custom Path" und change it) Works for me... WE completely ignores any triggers created with the editor and uses only the imported war3map.j |

Heh, well, ok, so it will keep it's changes after saves. But.... WE still doesn't understand .j'ish, and thus, the Trigger Editor will be useless, etc. ~Cubasis |
