Egyptian Warrioress (WIP) + Naiad update

Okay, I have a new skin (that I kinda like how it came out) and an update to a previous skin of mine, the Naiad.

I'll do the latter first. The original thread on the Naiad skin to describe her is found HERE but just to refresh quickly, she's supposed to be a quite tan elven 'swimmer' with some sea/water-related accessories/theme (pearl/shell jewelry, dolphin sash, seaweed cape, shell armor pads etc). This updated version is tweaked a bit and I made the whole skin sharper and less 'blurry'. Uses the Assassin model, btw.

The new skin is of an Egyptian Warrioress/Guardian of Isis using the Sentry model. She's clad in mostly gold and/or bronze 'armor' and some turquoise accessories/gems adding on to things.

A couple of things I'm still playing with, as this one isn't done (IMO):
-Might (probably should) add some luster/shine to the golden/bronze parts, though the in-game lighting may screw with it
-Flesh tone might need to be a bit darker
-I kinda ran out of ideas when it came to skinning the crescent weapon so I just threw something together. It's workable but I still might change it
-Face may need some more changing, mostly just the eyes and flesh tone have been changed currently
-I'll probably sharpen the armor a bit after all edits are done, if it needs it

Also attached is more or less the (original) character concept drawing that inspired this skin, though I certainly had to change/add a lot to it for this model. ^^

Ok, any feedback/suggestions/further ideas for this skin, please? ;)

The egyptain one needs more shadow on the armor. The hair on the other one is pixelly the shoulderpads need work. Otherwise nice and unique although i saw the second one before.

Mock: Yep, I plan on adding more shadow and highlight/shine to the armor after I get everything else done with it, on the Egyptian Warrioress. As for the Naiad, yes, I showed it before here. This is just a recent update I tried as I'd like to get it complete (and maybe used somewhere). I'm still empty on what to do with the shoulder pads, and I assume you mean the 'seaweed cape' is pixely probably. I'll try to smooth it out a bit.

Keep em coming. ^^ I need feedback to improve these. ;)

I hope you dont mind but I took the liberty of doing a very quick and nasty paint over. For the egyptian try and add more contrast in the armor, it looks just like a yellow colored material. Try adding more hilights. Also with the face try and bring out the features more by shading and hilighting.

It looks like hair not sea weed because her portrait hair is green also it blends in. I recommend give the seeweed more detail. Make smaller strands. Sea weed doesnt come in tubes. I do like the skins though.

My favourite theme, and lots of gold too. Here are my suggestions:

The armor has a good layout so just follow what everyone else is saying and that should turn out fine.
The skin on the other hand needs a lot of work, she has no muscle definition at all and no color variation.

Ok, cause I want this one to end up looking really good and finished, I'm going to take things just one step at a time (and please continue the feedback with each step ;) ).

My next version shown will have a better flesh tone (a bit darker, to fit the Egyptian theme) and I'll tweak the face and general flesh shading/highlights.

Stay tuned, but keep it coming. Thanks for the suggestions so far. ^^

Okay, next iteration attached here.

Edits:
-Flesh tone was made darker (more 'egyptian') and tweaked in some places with more shading and/or highlight
-Face edited a bit; in addition to aforementionned flesh tone changes, played with shading/highlighting there too and also changed the eyes a little (removed one of the black marks)

Next planned edit is to add luster/shine/shadow to the gold bits, unless I get feedback suggesting something else first (such as further changes around the head or the weapon etc). Any more comments/feedback before doing that? ^^

Okay, a newer version is attached here.

-Armor given a shine/luster/shading overhaul, now golden
-Red neckwrap removed and replaced with a scarab pendant
-General tweaking

I'd put this in the skins gallery, but it may need more little fixes before it's really 'done'.

Thanx ShadowFury. I made one further edit to so far, merely making the pendant a little more defined (darker, and better outlined) but it's a very minor change.

I'll probably make at least one more version after I try one more board for feedback, then move this one to the gallery section (if that's the correct thing to do). ^^

Your Naiad inspired me to make my Ocean Mage, which you can find updated at WC3 Search. I think you Naiad and Egyptian Warrioress are great. Ancient Egypt and the ocean are two of my favorite things. Keep it up!

Good job on the gold, but it looks very flat now. Try shading the undersides of her armour, and giving a variation of highlights, rather than making it all bright. Much better contrast with the skin than the original.
