BMP converts to 0 byte BLP -- Help?

Useing the following programs:
MilkShape 1.7.2
LithUnwrap 1.3
Warcarft 3 Viewer 2.3c
W3M Map Utilities 2.35 (s3d-->MDX)
Photoshop 7

For some reason all the bmp's I convert to blp's are coming out with 0 bytes. I have tried pretty much everything I can think of and can't find an answer on the forums (though I know someone has to have asked this before).

Is there somthing important I am forgeting along the way?

Model completed in Milkshape, saved.

LithUnwarp, open
Model --> open (filename.ms3d)
Select --> All
Tools --> UV Map --> Planer --> z, apply spacing, left to right
File --> UV map --> Save... No Color Groups, x:120 by y:120 (filename.bmp {also tried as tga})
File --> Model --> Save ... (filename.s3d)

Warcarft 3 Viewer bmp-->blp
open --> filename.bmp
save --> filename.blp

filename.bmp, 43 kb
filename.blp, 0 bytes

If you know whats wrong or what step I am missing please respond, been working at this all day long and it's driving me crazy.

I've the same issue (also with no soloution). No image files (I've tried TGA, BMP, and JPG with same results) will convert to real BLPs, only empty ones. This does not seem to be a problem with WC3Viewer, but maybe a problem with the images themselves? I don't use photoshop, I use GIMP2 and PSP9, and am experiencing same problem. In THIS THREAD I said the same thing, but nobody helped. In the end, i was so desperate for textures that i resorted to THIS And it worked - i got my textures in the end. However, this still doesn't solve this problem.
