I'm working on a sequel to Blademaster Mod (it's in the FPS Mod forums for anyone who is interested) and I figured I could use some help to improve it in cinematics and other areas it's sorely lacking in. For those who don't know, Blademaster Mod is a third person action game, kind of like Zelda except without the adventure bit. It uses FPS Mod so it controls like a real third person game. Type of helper required I'll get straight to the point first, then go down to the details if you're interested. I need... Animator - I won't say modeller because I don't really need a new model, but I need someone to help me animate new attacks for the Blademaster, mountain king, and a few other models I'm using. Of course, you're welcome to reskin them if you like too :D. I don't know how hard or easy it is to insert new animations into existing models because I have no modelling experience at all. Oh well. If you apply for this, I'll contact you immediately and send you the models (already modified a bit for BM Mod 1) that require animation. Terrain Doctor - If you ever played BM Mod 1, you know my terraining sucks. A lot. However, I feel it's much easier if I do have control over the path and terrain and all, and basically have control over the layout and rough look of the map. So I don't need a terrainer persay as much as a terrain doctor to doctor my terrain. Simply put, when a map is "done" by me, it will be complete and about fully playable, except the terrain sucks -.- so I'll send it to the terrain doctor to make the terrain modified a bit so it doesn't suck. If you apply for this, you can choose if you want the maps sent to you one by one (as each level is done) to be done or as a chunk (when the whole campaign is done). Cinematics Person - Well, this one is the last one to receive the copy of the map after the terraining has been done. I find it difficult to give instructions as to how the cinematic should progress, so I'll actually do the cinematic first and send it over, at which point there should be a rough idea of how the cinematic should work, and it can be modified or completely re-done as the cinematics' guy feels like it. If you apply for this, then I'll just wait for the terraining and all to be done before contacting you. So as you can see, part of the terraining or cinematics jobs will have been done for you by me (to make it easier to assemble and flow and all) but I will need you to improve on it or completely change it and you'll of course, be given full credit. Come to think of it now, it'll actually be much easier if the terrainer and the cinematics guy were the same person. Project Description With that done, I'll just get a general project description through for those who are interested. Storyline - Blademaster Mod 1 talks about the Orc-Gnoll conflict and how the gnolls started researching magic and doing all kinds of wierd stuff and you and other blademasters (sort of a kind of special forces) killed the leader. Nothing much worth talking about, really. Blademaster Mod 2 goes on about the consequences of the Orc-Gnoll conflict. It starts off with the murder of a Human Princess in broad daylight by what seems to be an orchish blademaster. The humans send a request to our 4 Blademasters (from Orc-Gnoll conflict fame) to capture this "rogue blademaster", but upon arrival on the Human side, the blademasters are arrested for being suspected of instigating the whole murder. Of course, they don't like being in prison, so they escape out and proceed to investigate the matter on their own. How this is linked to the first BM Mod will be revealed in the process... but not here :D. What else... ah right. More description. Like I said, BM Mod is a 3rd person action game, where you control a blademaster in melee combat (and later you control other heroes, but mostly in melee combat too). You have a direct involvement in the combat meaning you control every move your character makes. You left click and right click and perform combos (like fighting games) to do damage to your enemies, and you have to control your dodging and blocking to avoid enemy blows. That's all I have to say... if you want to know more just go play blademaster mod 1 in FPS Mod forums. Anyway, if you've read until here, apply in this thread or just PM me with how I can contact you, share files with you, and how you prefer to do your work (in batches, at one go, on saturdays only, etc...) Thanks. P.S. I'm not posting anything wrong or not meant to be in this section I hope? |

Well I don't need new models persay and I dont think I need geomerge (errr whatever that is). But if you could help rather simply I just need a few simple animations (mainly blocking animations for the 3 characters) but I'm unable to do them because I don't have any modelling software (and I probably won't know how to use one anyway). Could you do that anyway? If you can, just contact me with your GMT Time zone and preferably your MSN Contact and I'll really really appreciate your help. Plasticangel already agreed to help me with cinematics and terrain so I'll rely on him for that. And fladian's new display pic looks beautiful t.t |
