Guest | Hello, i want to start creating highly detailed terrain like the ones showcased in this forum. I understand that it wont be an easy process at first, and later on it will still be challenging at some points. I need a little help getting started, basically i need a couple questions answered. I saw referred to on another thread, downloadable trees or doods. I was wondering where i can get my hands on these, and how to import them into the game/map. I was also wondering how to do fog in the background. This is probably a very basic thing :) and sorry for wasting your time, but since your already here why not answere these and help me out? :). Thanks |

there are plenty of trees up for download. a lot were at war3sear.ch, but as thats closed/closeing down, i doubt youll be able to get those anymore. however, if you search the terrain forum for a thread by modrag, called the tree pack. youll find the basic trees in there, also, i suspect a lot of users will soon be uploading other tree models, such as the azshara models. also, if you register at the hubb.co.uk youll have acess to a vast aray of custom tree and plant models (most of which are made by Nas) in the custom doodad recourse forum for fog, go to scenario > map options, and select use of a custom fog, then select the couler you wish the fog to be (id suggest makeing your own coulers with the RGB figures). then you can change the thickness of the fog useing the start and end values. basicly, the further appart these two numbers are, the thinner the fog [edit] apparently war3sear.ch isnt closeing. i really should have figured that out considering the date yesterday. i guess im just too much of an optimist:P go to the models section there, and view the catagory "doodads". there are lots of tree, plant, and building models in there |
