Unable to download attachments?

Hi, I seem to be unable to download attachments.

They just open up a blank page. I looked at the "source" with firefox and it just contains something like "GIF89a". In Internet Explorer it's also a blank page, but the "view source" is greyed out.

In any event, they won't work.

Am I doing something really stupid or is it just broken?

Same thing here, i can't download anything or enlarge the thumbnails. A side effect of the gorgeous april's joke i guess...

You will have to wait until Draco comes back from the bar. Wouldnt it be nice if someone else would take over when he is on the other side of the planet...

I found that I can download any attachments that were added after the attachment problem, but I still can't download the old attachments.

Likewise. Has there been any progress? Any hint at the underlying bug?

One of the server administrators deleted a large portion of data which was not backed up. We went through a long process (multiple server-down days) but were only able to recover a very small amount of the data.

ie, all the old attachments are gone.
