i'm working on a cinamatic but what i can't seem to figure out is that when i test the cinematic, my charecters do not seem to appear on the screen where i put them. since they don't appear, they don't do the stance i tell them to in the trigger editor therefor they don't say anything but the first thing i told them to say. can anyone help me with what might be happening? also, i don't know how to rotate my camera or change it's veiw from bird's eye to worms veiw and vise-versa. and i don't know how to edit models to skins. if anyone can help me, i'd be forever in your debt. thanks. |

Guest | I'm not sure why the units dont appear, I need more info. Is it just all black? If it is you need to use a trigger and reveal the whole map to the player. Do it by adding a visibility modifier. To make camera's go to the camera layer (Goto window> New Palette> Cameras) and make a camera. Check Preview in main window and adjust to how you like it. Skinning is more complicated. First you need an image editing program like Adobe Photoshop or Paint Shop Pro. Than you need to download a program like Image Extractor and extract and convert the skin you want to .tga (targa) format. Open it up in and edit it and convert it back. Check other threads and tutorial for more info. |

Thanks for your help |

Guest | Not sure why they aren't showing up. If their custom models/skins make sure pathing is correct for the texture. I can't really help here maybe someone else knows sorry. Here is Image Extractor II to convert textures http://www.wc3campaigns.com/showthread.php?t=1520 Adobe Photoshop you have to buy, use a trial or get it some other way ^_^ www.adobe.com There are other programs to edit images just search for one that allows editing .tga files. |

lol the units r just invisible? Did you make a hide unit trigger prior to the part where they are invisible? Is the camera in the right spot? Are you using an editor thats not called "Warcraft III World Editor"? Does the unit has a model file? Does it have a large enough scaling value? Does it have the shadowmeld ability (and its at night?)? why dont you check these things... = ) |

AHHH. Did you use the campaign editor? If so, are you placing custom units made with the campaign editor. If so, are you using the test map function? If its yes to all three of these, theres your problem. When you use the test map function it ONLY tests the map, it doesn't use info from the campaign editor. In order to test a map using info from the campaign editor, you need to save the campaign file in your campaigns folder, open up WCIII and run the campaign in WCIII. |
