Hi, for tutorials you should check the following threads: http://www.wc3campaigns.com/showthread.php?t=45930 http://www.wc3campaigns.com/showthread.php?t=55255 I also found some good (realism) tutorials over at: http://sourceblog.net/page.php?file=/tuts/skin/skin But they are not focused on WC3, more CS:S. As for programs, you should use one of the following: Photoshop ($599) - http://www.adobe.com/products/photoshop/main.html Paintshop Pro ($129) - http://www.corel.com/servlet/Satelli...=1047023911984 TheGimp (free) - http://www.gimp.org/ Or another imaging program, but these are the ones that pop to my head. There really is no BEGINNER program, except for price range, The Gimp is free, but is free for a reason. I used when I started skinning. |

No problem, eh, I meant to remove the prices from the back of the URL when I moved them to the front, oh well :D Oh also I fixed the Realism tutorial link, sorry, I wasn't with it this morning, very tired. But you should check that one out, now it's fixed. Edit (In a friendly tone, don't take me the wrong way.)Oh, by the way, next time before posting a question like this, you should probably look for the FAQ or tutorial threads that are stickied in the forum appropriate to what you want to ask about (in this case the skinning and texture forum). You might not be as lucky to get someone, like me, who doesn't mind collecting the info and posting it. Always remember, if it seems like a question that might have been asked before, it's probably in a sticky somewhere ;) (Example: "How do I start learning this and what do I use?") |
