TDR vs Xlightscreen

Modeling challenge

Subject: model a complete armor set, from a real life reference, including sword and shield. High poly model - emphasize on details. All details must be modeled. No textures. No renders, just show screenshots from the viewport.

Conditions: use only subdivision surface modeling packages, except ZBrush (don't sculpt, pure ss modeling only) and no NURBS. No textures.

Starts: you can start whenever you can, even today. I'll start next week because I'm most busy right now.

Deadline: 2 months

baa you found away around my no charicter rule I guess lol. mmm well sure ill take you on and yea ill probaly be done like spring lol. but will we be able to even feel that competive for that long? I mean I got a crap load of stuff I wan't done and im sure same with you. We could simplfy it a bit more like maybe some kinda of vehicle, or archutech structure but if you wan't to stay with hourses fine with me. But like i said i still got gmax so no pre-rendering pics please

EDIT: We will have to set a more dated deadline anyways just so we submit both of ares at same time.

A horse is not a character, it's a creature. And you've seen that I make cars, so that could be considered a "safe zone". And yeah, maybe something more quick would be better...hmm....I've got it: high poly armor set (chose one from real life, don't invent). With sword and shield too. Deadline - 1 month...actually 2 months, since it will be xmas and new years eve and shit...How about that?

And when you say invented does that mean we got to replicate something out of a pic? or can we aleast design the armor to what you would find in real life?

The fact this challenge was made makes me want to gouge my eyes out.

Just from inspection and the current galleries of the "competitors," we can clearly discern that TDR knows what he's talking about.

I don't even know/care who this Xlightscreen person is. Considering that fact and the fact I don't see anything in his gallery and he's not showing anything offsite to back himself up, I would be willing to bet he's just another internet dork who thinks he knows more than he really does about something.
We don't need a f*cking contest to show that.

Making something for a friendly competition is one thing, but this is CLEARLY not made as a friendly competition.

well then again we didn't ask like 2000 people to butt in to are competion. But I consider this a friendly competion plane and simple take it how you want it. And soon as TDR gets on tommor just to awnser that one question then let the games begin!
