I would need a terrainer to polish the terrain i made in my map, "Soldiers". i am quite competent in triggering and balancing but my artistic skills are kinda cold. Im talking about up-side down terrain because i transformed wc3 into a platform game. If you want to help me or/and if you want a clear vision of what im talking about, i suggest you watch my map trailer wich can be found at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y_VHPIvsKok you shall also see what's the actual terrain like. If you wish to help me, please reply to this thread and show me (in pictures) some of the work you have done already. Im giving reputation along with credits in my map to whoever's gonna help me. Thanks in advance! ![]() |

Platform game? That's just a different camera. To call it a platform game I'd say you need actual platforms. :P |

hahaha, this looks just like worms Armageddon, in a good way! You may want to check out the particle system in order to make realistic trajectories for both weapons, and the jet pack physics. http://wc3campaigns.net/showthread.php?t=87031 the system allows you to create gravity, velocity, and other forces that could help the map feel very realistic and believable. I don't know what Kind of math you know, but these kinds of things are pretty much impossible without differential equations, and such a system could do a lot of the work for you. What I would want to do is get some sideways models of trees, items, or other structures. I, personally would love to draft up some terrain ideas for specific kinds of gameplay. Before I do that, I have some questions. Whats the maximum height of a single jetpack boost? What points of interest should be put on the map, IE; flags, ammo, guns. What kinds of maps do you need, and what do you already have? |
