A prologue for the 1st quest of the single player campaign, War Drums.


War Drums: Quest 1, Volunteers.

Prologue:
King Uther gave he's most trusted lieutenants the task to muster all of the strong-hearted citizens that had volunteered to join the assault on the orcish encampment, Numsgil.
They were entrusted to goto the villages nearest the city of Galadorn and gather every volunteer capable of defending himself with a shield, flexing a bow or using a sword.
Though these fierce volunteer-warriors lack the shining plate mail and specialized training like their noble predecessors at the Battle of Stormrock, they still fight with bravery and honor on the field of battle to protect their home and kingdom.

Though the hearty Knights of Galadorn were destroyed during the Battle of Stormrock, the shining Knights of Enroth & Arathia still continue to serve amongst the warriors of the Western Coast.
These heavily armored warriors should be givin' the word of the upcoming assault on the orcish encampment, Numsgil.
As the Knights' speed and mobility mark them as ideal warriors in this onslaught, since we became more dependant on "tricks" & strategy rather than brute force.

"he's" should be "his" and go to is two words, not one.

Good, nice summary of the history. But like I mentioned, is there supposed to be a goal? (it is a quest after all)

I'm not quite sure, I understand what you mean by goal..
The "goal" of the first quest is to recruit the "volunteers" in the villages at the "Western Coast" and the Knights of "Enroth" and "Arathia" (two capital strongholds in the War Drums universe).

Note, this is just a prologue for the first quest of the campaign - which is one out of many.

What I meant is that you never said anything along the lines of...

"Your task is to go gather volunteers to fight to protect their homeland" or whatever. You didn't state the goal for the player.

It's a prologue ;)

The actual goal will be stated once the game begins :P
