yo yo yo guys.

Its been a while. You may not think ive been around, but ive been lurking by every now and then.. looking at threads, just not responding ;p. school has been insanely busy.. but this is what ive been working on for the past month for my video game class.

very nice!
but i dont realy get the same feel from the concept art as i do from the model, which is a shame coz i <3 the concept art.

But still very nice n very quality.
Ill let someone who actualy models give u some critique =P

i think it should have the faceplate thing it has in the first pic, also in the 3rd pic the ear looks WAAAAAAAAY too small, other than that its sweet

Dude it's nice, but the proportions are a bit messed up. The legs are way too big, the head seems too small and the ears are really too tiny.
I can see some topology problems on the side of the model, there's uneven spacing between polies.
And...why maya? :(

ya... i couldnt add the face plate b/c when i was animating him, the polys would tear when i rotated his head. I wanted to add it... but it just wouldnt work out. I agree that it looses a lot of its original feeling. I wanted shiney particles and stuff too, but my knowledge of particles is limited. Rigging and weighing joints were a pain.

-dominance war.... oyy. Those people are in a league all to theirselves. I'm no where near the lvl.

Id agree and say that the ears are too small and the legs are too big. I'm prolly not going to touch it anymore. This was my first char model and it was a huge learning experience. The next model i make will be bigger, better, and takes MUCH less time.

why maya? its just the program thats used at my college. Ive taken the 2 Maya classes offered at my college and i still feel underprepared to make something super amazing. I'm prolly going to pitch somehting to my advisor about an independent study class where i just model and work w/ zbrush.

I wish i posted my WIPs in here earlier... none of my friends pointed out the anatomy issues.. i always knew things looked a bit off, but i just couldnt put my finger on it.

The thing that really boters me is the bland texture on the shoulderpads, the rest looks reather spliffin'
