Looking for partner to start a good Diablo 2 Mod Map

alrighty, i don't want to make a mod from the Wc3 game
i just want to make a really godly good Diablo 2 map that will own most of the crap maps that are out there that i have played. That resemble nothing to the game accept character models and names.
Anyways the point:
I am looking for a partner who wants to work on a diablo 2 map that resembles the game so much you couldn't tell the difference. I know Nater has good ideas for the necromancer. If you look at his map under Trigger and Utility Respository, look at that. I want to get our map just as good as that. I tried making a palidan in that same forum, who isn't finished at the time, but you can look at him. I want to make our map without JASS or with very very minimul JASS, becuase i don't know the slightest thing about JASS.

I am skilled at: Graphics (skins, models, icons) Spells (modded and triggered) Terrain and GUI triggers (my motto is, i can solve any problem with the Wc3 TFT GUI triggers, i don't use variables much but i have been trying to use them more becuase they make things easier, and sometimes they are neccesary. COUGH COUGH daiblo 2 paldian map i made cough


To set the record straight post here if you want to try and help me. I want to make our map played like Diablo 2 with the quests icons, items, skills and the works.

Few things wrong with your statements. One, it's GRATER not NATER. Also, NO ONE, and I MEAN NO ONE, is skilled in Spell Triggering, or GUI for that matter, if they don't use variables. So don't try and fool people. :P I looked at your Palidan map, I thought that the light beam, resembled NOTHING of Fist of Heavens, your aura system STUNK. Lol, and well, your 'highly skilled' spells aren't as skilled as you think they are. Anyways, the whole point of this post, was to prove to you that lies get you no where, and I doubt anyone would want to join yet ANOTHER D2 Mod. Whether it's D2 or D3, its a Diablo MOD. Meaning, another game TRANSFERRED into another. AKA, Diablo ---> Warcraft.

You use JASS... there is a difference. Also, this kid *points towards Moose* says he rules at GUI. JASS is different. You have Udg's and locals there.

lol I couldn't help but think of this, cut from the same template. Totally unrealistic expectations. To make a map that plays half as well as Diablo2 you'd need heaps of JASS, and like, skill. (I'd be less inclined to be mean if you'd GET MY NAME RIGHT!)

Someone should just make 1 giant diabalo mod, it could get hosted, get lotsa people, get actually finished maybe, the pros just keep coming

ok for the last time i do not want to make a MOD of the wc3 game
i just want to make a diablo 2 map that plays and follows the story line of diablo 2
i have played severmal maps based off diablo that have no plot really and arn't that great, the skils they use in the maps i have played resemeble nothing from the game

(that palidan hero is not my best GUI triggering, trust me, i was trying some new type of systems)
I have played things like Diablo 2 EXP V2.8 FINAL, Diablo Duel V 1.4 Diablo 3 and other maps i can't think of right now
anyways i see someone would like to help

I was thinking something like that too Linkmaster...

Well, just some friendly advise, try to get some good experience before you start making... large mods. (Yeah, yeah I know what I'm talking about... I thought I was good at the start, but easily walked in the shadow of others... changed now though)

Yeah.. And there is already lot of Diablo maps as you said. Try starting the map and post some screenshots and stuff, mayby little demo or something?
Or forget the whole shit and join some other project..

You could always start a small project to get some experience first. I think that is the best thing to do, or like Albiino said, start the map and show what you are able to do. You can't rely on other people for everything, as the starter of the project, you got a whole lot of responsibility.

Yup. But its hard to make a good map alone.. Post something when you have done something, and mayby you can then have lot more people to join your project. And word "mod" means "modification", its when you change something in the WarCraft, (like new races).
