Ask questions, get them answered, read my questions to myself, you know the drill.
basic RP questions

Q: What is an RP?
A: It stands for Role Play

Q: No duh, what do you do in it?
A: Oh err... basically you create an imaginary person/creature (here on referred to as a character or char), then traverse imaginary lands, participating in a fabricated storyline and killing made-up creatures and other imaginary chars.

Q: Are you guys sane?
A: Maybe... <_<

Q: So.. how about some more info?
A: Okay first read the rules, then you make your char here wait for it to be approved and then choose an RP in which to immerse your char into. You might want to look through the RPs first so that you have an idea about what type of char to make, if you're not sure ask the guy who made the RP. Then read the storyline, and if there are quite a few posts aldready ask for someone to help you as to where to start here. If you have NO idea about how to RP try reading the other posts, then imagine being your char (I know it's corny) and feel how he would react to these situations. While still imagining think up a quick post about what your char does and wait for someone to reply (it might take sometime). You and the other members of the RP co-operate to create a story told by several different people, cool and crazy. You could also ask for someone's MSN to help you out. And most importantly don't be discouraged by long threads, they want you to join.

Q: OMG there is sooo much to read, can I like skip through some parts?
A: Maybe... scan through all of the threads I linked to, and read the plots of the RPs you want to join. Then ask for a quick summary from the RP maker.

Q: Why are you soo strict.
A: Sometimes -okay a lot of times- if there aren't strict rules RP's get messed up, it happens and I want to try and stop it. I try and make things more casual but if you want to make a funny RP or join one (if someone makes one).

RP Rules

Q: Can I make my own RP?
A: Yes, read this

Q: Can I kill other characters:
A: Not unless you ask permission from thier controller.

Q: What if I want to make a plot twist with my char that might really affect the RP.
A: Ask them, and if it's okay then do it.

Q: Can my char be in more than 1 RP?
A: No, if you want to be in more than 1 RP, make more than 1 char.

Q: So I can have more than 1 char?
A: yep

Q: Can I have more than 1 char in an RP?
A: Ask the RP maker.

Q: I made an RP and I need to have more chars to develop the plot. However they have very small part, I don't want to make a new character sheet for them, is it okay for me to just inform the others and just use him/her?
A: Yes, so long as the char in question has a small part, if he/she will be around for sometime, better make a character sheet.

Misc

Q: What are invite only RP's?
A: Sometimes people may want only experienced RPers or maybe they feel that they cannot keep up with the fast pace of RPs so they want to slow it down, in this case they will accept people they see fit. For example, I check wc3c once a day and I can't keep up with everything, so I might make an RP for people like me who might post once a day so we can keep track of stuff and have fun. Other times I might not want newbies to join and want to have a serious well-developed RP, so I might invite some serious RPers and close the RP to any more joiners.

Q: I can close the RP to new joiners?
A: If you feel it is appropriate yes.

Q: I can have an invite only RP? Or is that for "special people"?
A: Nope anyone can, if you want one just with your friends make an RP thread and put (invite only) next to it.

Q: In the RP, I have to play a powerful guy to develop the plot, is that okay?
A: Are you the maker? If so yes, it's your RP, if not ask the maker. And don't abuse the over-powered char, no killing left right and center, your char wins for the sole-purpose of developing the plot.

Q: Can my char undergo transformations during the RP?
A: Err maybe, ask the maker and I don't want to see any undead, slithid quilboar.

Q: What if someone completely breaks the rules, types something stupid and messes up the RP.
A: That happens more often than you'd think, if you do find this PM me, and I'll delete the post and maybe delete all posts that are changed due to his post. I'll also say something about it and neg rep them.

Q: Does it matter if I write in first or third person?
A: Not to me, but if the RP maker feels its annoying he'll let you know.

Q: Can you give me ideas for an RP?
A: No

Q: Wtf? How come I get no post increases here?
A: Posts and rep in the RP sub-forum count as nothing.

John feel free to edit and add your own stuff.

Okay, I think it's about time that I added something. It's only going to be a little, and I don't think anyone above would have anything to worry about.

More Things to Worry about: (That's a little contradictory >.>)
Hidden information:
Q: What do I do if have an idea for an RP, but it's not really developed?
A: You could always post your ideas in the RP Brainstorming Thread. Even if most of the ideas aren't sure-fire, others could help you work on it, or just to jot some ideas down if you're sure to forget them.

Q: How does RPing benefit me?
A: ... Ahaha. That, you have to answer on your own.

Q: I have a really good idea for a character, but I'm not sure if it'll get accepted in any RP. What do I do?
A: Put in the Characters thread, anyway. Never doubt a character design, you just might need it if you happen to cross paths with an RP they can be accepted into.

Q: How come there are times when the RP Forum looks dead even though there are active RPs?
A: This happens a lot, at many sites, in many places (trust me, I know). In this case, you might have to contact the maker of the RP and ask them what's going on. Or, if you want to talk to another person's character and they are not replying, you may need to contact them, as well. As a LAST resort, you may even have to edit your post.

Bah, I can't think of anymore. There will be more in the future.
